Wow anothe fantastic Bible! I just pick up my copy over the weekend and as soon I finish the one I'm reading start this. Something I've been looking for I am not very good in memorizing Bible Verses and I am sure that this one will help me! I pick it up at a local bookstore softcover and it was a very good deal that I couldn't pass up it was in the bargin books! and the print is nice and big..... I'd recommend it for all who want to Learn about God and I would recommend it for Handicapp people as well.... Which is that I am Handicapp.But also very active in church. And I've been on hunt for alot of years for an easier Bible to understand! found 2 good ones! This one & The Promis these 2 I recomend above all others!

My wife and I started using the NIRV in prison ministry over the past year. Since then, we have given out dozens of copies. The results are consistent: This is the most readable version of the Word we have seen.

Not only is it easy-to-read, it is reliable and true to the literal, traditional translations. I have been pleased that the inflections, subtleties, and beauty of scriptural passages has been retained. The Psalms are poetic. The Gospels are clear and direct. Paul's letters still have the passion, power and grace you expect in a Bible.

For an easily understood version in today's language, the NIRV is a great fit.

I started using this Bible for our English as a Second Language classes for adults interested in Bible Study. It really is an awesome translation and makes it easy for them to understand, without watering down God's word or being a kid's version. I highly recommend it!

When I looked this book over online, the inside had the old testament as well as the new testament. When I received the book I see that it is only the new testament. You are advertising this book incorrectly. If this is only the new testament, that is what should be advertised. I am a bit dissappointed that the old testament is not included.

It is sad that there was so little success with the adult editions of this translation. It is now the sole provenance of children's Bibles and that's a shame. The vocabulary is basic and the sentences are short but there is no detriment to the meaning and it isn't pedantic. This is a perfect translation for adults with reading disabilities or those who speak English as a second language, but I doubt they'd be thrilled to read Bibles covered with cartoon characters.

This is my first Bible and I love it! Each book gives a little history before it begins as well as great scripture suggestions in the back. This Bible is a must have for anyone who wants to learn more about God!

I looked @ the original price of the book by the bar code and it was cheaper new than used. That made no sense to me.

I did buy it used; they said no more copies are made of it that is why I paid so much. They did keep in touch when I complained to them.

I have been a believer for about 20 years and have read many translations. This is the one that works best for me. Period.
