Retro Gumby Bendable Figure

I had a school project for which Gumby was used. Not much to say. Retro Gumby met my expectations and served my purpose.

I gave Gumby and Pokey to my 4 yr old nephew for his birthday. He immediately played with them! I had already given him my DVD of Gumby and Pokey episodes so he related. Retro toys rock!

As a small boy, I grew up watching Gumby, and thought of it is totally amazing. Today as an adult, I am totally amazed that how long this Icon of Childrens shows still lives on and,the people that follow it. This was a perfect gift, just for the sake of having something to remember what we watched as kids.

My daughter loves Gumby, so we have had to rebuy him several times because he keeps getting lost, each time Gumby has arrived looking identical to the previous one, which is great. My only complaint is that the arms have disconnected under the plastic coating, so it makes them difficult to bend. The only people really bending the arms are my husband and I, so I'm guessing it's a manufacturers defect, not my daughter doing anything aggressive with the toy.

I remember watching Gumby when I was a kid. I had one of these Gumby dolls when I was little. This Gumby figure makes a fantastic gift for kids or nostalgic adults.

Some piece of lower than dirt slime decided he was entitled to steal the Gumby I have attached to the roof of my MINI, and one on my motorcycle. Unfortunately some people are devoid of honesty and human compasion, so they chhose to disrupt others lives by stealing from them.

So I had to find a replacement. I first noticed prices aren't what they used to be. I think this one was $7 0r $8 through Amazon. There are a few available, so if you're looking for one, I've found the 50th anniversary model matches the one I have (and the original) more closely than the others.

A necessary purchase, and a pox on the Cretan who took my mascot off my car.

Used Gumby as flexibility figure for team of 400+ people. Even those who weren't familiar with Gumby thought it was a great Add to their office collection.

The Gumby was much larger than I anticipated so that was great! He's just what you'd expect, bendable and green and the quality was really good

Got this Gumby to go with Pokey and a Gumby DVD set. The kids don't play with either one of them but that's because they are lost in their junky, cluttered rooms.

I keep having the same dream. It all started when I bought this figurine. In the dream, I'm walking down the street and this Gumby action figures if following close behind. When I stop, he stops. When I run, he runs. There is no escaping him. I run fast and faster and Gumy is right there, striding along on his expandable legs, all the time smiling like he's laughing at my pathetic efforts to escape. When I can't run anymore he comes very close, so close I can see the whites of his tiny little eyes. Then he reaches out his arms like noodley appendages and wraps them around my neck and crushes the very life from me.

Even after sending Gumby down the garbage disposal he's still in my dreams. Now I spend a lot of time alone in the darkness of my bathroom. I sit and I cry, but the pain never goes away.
