"IGNITE : The Bible for Teens" is a great study tool for young adults who are seeking out who they are, and who they desire to be as they discover Gods' plan for their lives. "Ignite" offers a traditional New King James Version Bible translation coupled with in depth tools for truly studying God's word, and receiving the messages within to the fullest.

"Ignite" offers special segments within each chapter, such as in depth summaries of the chapters, with key information about the author, time written, purpose of the chapter, how it can be applied to our lives. There is also a small segment called "Spotlight" which focuses on a specific part of the reading and the application it has in our lives today. "Flashpoint" is another feature that appears in this Bible, that tackles a subject that teens struggle with, and tie it in to a particular reading in the Bible (for example, a section on depression appears in 1 Kings, along with a discussion about Elijah and his experiences), words of wisdom to help as well as information on where else that subject is discussed in the Bible.

The "Soul Fuel" icons appear frequently throughout this Bible, with important and very relevant Bible verses highlighted. "White Hot Topic" is another feature in this Bible that devotes an entire page to a specific topic, with a detailed description of the topic, as well as the Biblical tie-in to help.

I think this is a great study Bible for teens and young adults. I would say appropriate ages of 13-21, as a lot of the information is geared to the issues facing teens and young adults. Would be a great Bible for anyone in this age group! Love it - 5/5!

I requested to review Ignite The Bible for Teens for my daughter. She has been wanting a new Bible and I thought this would be perfect for her.

If you have a teen or are a teen that is searching for ways to understand the Bible, Ignite just may be the book for you. I waited to review this Bible, because I wanted to see what my daughter had to say about it without my asking. Today, during our morning workout, she told me she dreamt she went to Heaven. I asked her what did she think prompted such a dream, her exact words were, "I think it was the new Bible you gave me. I read it every night and I am able to understand what is being said."

She is learning more with the features that are offered:
*Find It Fast--A table of contents and topical index on the inside cover so it's easy to find what you need
*Spotlight--In depth features about the big story of God and His people
*White Hot Topics--Articles that deal with major issues that teens face today
*Flashpoint--Smaller articles that introduce teens to topics and stories they don't know are in the Bible
*Sparks--Highlights of Bible promises to deepen faith
*Soul Fuel--Relevant verses pulled out for memorization
She believes all of these features are helpful.

I am happy to hear that she is ending her night, by reading the Bible and is having a better understanding.

Ignite is nice looking. I think it is perfect for a teen or young adult. It seems to be rather durable. I am a little sensitive when it comes to certain textures so I could not hold it very long, because the feel of it or maybe the freshness of it, made me feel like I did not want to touch it. My daughter did not have this same reaction. She really likes it.

"Ignite: The Bible For Teens" is a New King James Version of the Bible that has been designed especially for teens. A Teen Bible Advisory Committee that was made up of teens and parents provided input on many elements, such as design and content of this Bible so it could be useful for teens. Even before readers reach the gift dedication page they will come across a contents page with an alphabetical listing of the Bible books. There is another non-alphabetical Bible book contents page after the Bible introductory pages. There is a handy section that lists the features of this Bible, which includes descriptions about Spotlight readings (100 readings of God's story from Genesis to Revelation), White Hot Topics (must-know topics), Flashpoints (Day-to-Day helpful, interesting life topics), Sparks (verses that focus on God's promises), Soul Fuel (Bible verses that are great to read and memorize), and Book Introductions (Bible book introductions that include basic, important information). A topical index and a dictionary with topical concordance are also some important features found in this Bible.

Since I am not an expert on Bible translations I decided to focus on reviewing the layout of this Bible, which is how I have reviewed Bibles in the past. While I was reviewing the paperback version of this Bible, I studied the books of Luke and Acts. Most of the chapters had a White Hot Topic and/or Flashpoint reading listed alongside or near those chapters, which helped me to know what important points to pick up from those chapters. There were also M-Text and NU-Text descriptions at the bottom of the pages of this Bible, which were supposed to help me to observe the variations that exist between the different manuscript traditions of the New Testament for various Scriptures.
