Noelle, my belle, these are things that go together well, February 5, 2007
This review is from: NOELLE (Paperback)
Sorry about misusing the Beatles song, Michelle, but I couldn't resist. :)
One of Lacey Dancer's Precious Gem romances, tiny little stories that feature surprisingly well-developed characters and plots, Noelle is one of four sisters adopted by the St. Johns. She is, of course, outrageously beautiful but seems to exist in a fog, another plane or whatever. Noelle uses this as a barrier between herself and others, thereby not getting close enough to suffer loss. This is presumably a result of her being left at a children's home.
After her adopted parents decide to turn the girls loose with very little financial support to see how they'll fare on their own, Noelle is in an accident. A plane she is on crashes and she and our dashing hero survive. Interestingly, she saves HIM! Imagine, not only is she not the usual woman in distress awaiting rescue, but she da man! :) They are strongly attracted to one another and as they grow closer while attempting to reach civilization they fall in love.
This is another sexy story from Lacey Dancer. She seems to include a little psychology in all her characters, but not in a psycho-babble, heavy-handed way. I recommend this story or really any of Dancer's books. The other three sisters are Leora, Caprice and Silke; but for some reason I couldn't get Caprice on a search of Amazon. Silke's cover comes up when you type in Lacey Dancer by Lacey Dancer. So there are some technical difficulties on Amazon.
