I already have one of these, that I bought at some store that starts with "Wal...", although I've never seen them there again. First, I don't know how I got along without this thing. I walk with a cane, so it's the only thing I always have with me. And now, for the first time ever, I always have my cell phone with me. It fits perfectly into the front pocket, and stays there, unless I turn the cane upside down. I keep other small necessities in the zippered pocket, including one of those power-pack thingies to charge my cellphone if I'm not near a plug-in. This is the perfect pouch for that, since I can carry my phone in the front pocket, and run a short USB cord into the zippered pocket to the power pack. As a friend of mine said who saw that, I've now "got it goin' on".
Now for the "room for improvement" part. First, the straps that attach the pouch to the cane are a thick, clear plastic, with velcro strips sewn on. The straps themselves are too thick to really make a snug fit to the cane, and they're also a little too long. They are also too inflexible. Because they are always trying to straighten out, the velcro strips have to continually be refastened.
Second, there really isn't anything to keep the pouch from sliding down the cane. Maybe the plastic straps were an unsuccessful attempt at this. I have solved this problem by running the wrist strap up through a cane holder (like this:
INGRID Cane Holder) that I have attached to the top of the cane, right under the handle. It isn't easy to see from the picture, but this wrist strap clips to the zipper on the bag. The only downfall of this setup is that I have to unclip the wrist strap from the zipper to get into the zippered pouch. Also, when I unclip it, the bag inevitably slides right down to the bottom of the cane.
Since this has become so indispensable to me, and it's the only bag of this type that I've seen (other than NOVA's smaller model, with no front pocket), I am buying a second one. The only things they could do to improve this would be to add a tab (other than the zipper) to clip the wrist strap to, and to include a clamp that wouldn't slide down the cane.
P.S. Every store I've looked at that carries the "black & white giraffe" pattern has it listed as a zebra pattern. I agree with the other reviewer - it must be an error in how they were labeled, and another reason those are marked down.
