I found a definite increase in energy within a week by taking D-Ribose. However, Organics Wholesale totally rips you off on shipping - they charge $5.95 PER BOTTLE - that's right, they charged me $11.90 to ship two bottles in one box. All Star Health charges a flat fee of $5.95 for shipping both bottles, and the price of the D-Ribose is the same.

I learned about D-Ribose while attending a lecture by Dr. Jacob Teitlebaum in Stanford, CT Sept 2006. Researchers have been finding that the muscles of individuals with CFS literally shorten up like rigor mortis setting in on a corpse. The shortening in turn pulls on the spots where the muscles connect to bone and tendons and may be the cause of the fibro trigger points. When tested, these people are severely deficient in D-ribose, a sugar muscles need in order to lengthen and work properly.

At the time I heard this lecture, I was struggling with an overly active, strong GoldenDoodle puppy that pulled so hard on me during walks by day that I was waking up at 2:30am in the mornings in extreme pain in my shoulders and back. I purchased D-ribose and took it at the onset of pain. Amazingly, the pain would subside and be gone within 20-30 mins of consuming the sugar.

Since then I've been taking D-ribose daily and have had far fewer fibro flares. I had the chance recently to go without D-ribose for 3 days when I forgot to pack it for a trip to TX. By the third day, I'd awakened stiff and in pain from head to toe and my husband had to do an errand of mercy and find a store that sold it. He brought some back to me, I took it and within an hour I was feeling myself again.

Currently research is being undertaken in the areas of congestive heart failure and fibromyalgia to see how beneficial D-ribose may be and the data to date is all positive. Looks to be an excellent product to help relieve conditions that might otherwise not be helped.

I started using the D-Ribose powder to help with Chronic Fatigue and it did take three weeks for me to notice any change. Others that have CF and Fibro told me it worked earlier for them but everyone is different. The Company I get mine is all star health. The delivery is usually the next day for me because I am in Ca. Excellent company and excellent product to say the least!

I have had trouble with chronic fatigue (either from depression or CFS, unclear as of now, still under investigation by doctors) for several years. I tried this product after reading a pilot-study where patients diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome took 15g/day of D-ribose over a few weeks and as a result noticed improvement in several symptoms.

Now, I thought "Cool, maybe it will reduce my fatigue aswell", so I started taking 15g a day and within a week I noticed huge improvements, greatly reduced fatigue, NO more muscle ache, increased muscle strenght and muscle endurance. The trouble was, I started having severe side effects as well. I felt wound up, stressed, hyperactive, restless, almost manic and I had trouble concentrating, started having weird dreams etc, so I stopped taking it (gradually).

What I noticed later, months after, was that I had misread the label and as a result I had overdosed big time, instead of taking 15g/day I took 30g/day...

I'm going to give this supplement a second chance because it does work. This time using the correct dosage, starting low and slowly increasing the dose to a point where the benefit/side-effect ratio is acceptable.

A daily intake of 5g in the morning stirred into a green drink or orange juice, increasing it as needed to 3 times daily, creates a slow but consistent increase in engery, which is often severely lacking in fibro patients.
D-Ribose is also vital in muscles building and aids the heart. People with heart disease in the family or people who suffer from ailments which can ultimately also cause heart diseases (as in Rheumatoid Arthritis) can benefit from this supplement.
This supplement has a very slight smoky sweet taste and is easily to digest.
I habe diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis as well as Fibromyaglia and show heart diseases on both sides of my family.

This product does help those of us with fibromyalgia. I helps to boost my energy level so that I can make it through the day without being totally exhausted. It tastes a little like some sweetners on the market. The product is affordable and arrives quickly.

I purchased this after hearing about it on the Dr. Oz show. I was skeptical, but decided to give it a try. I mix 2 tsp in my morning orange juice, and it dissolves completely. The juice is a little sweeter, but other than that you cannot tell that anything has been added. I have found that I have more endurance and energy during moderate and intense exercise, and can workout harder and still function afterward. If you are dragging from lack of sleep and too much stress, this will not make you bounce out of bed in the morning and run all day. It gives a little boost to this middle aged body to make a hard workout more successful.

I have been using ribose for almost two months. I use two teaspoons full in water three times each day. I take it before breakfast after lunch and then after dinner. On days that I exercise I use two teaspoons right before I exercise and then two right after.

I don't use caffeine. Ribose does not make me jittery. I have notice sometimes if I take it too late in the day I might have a little trouble falling a sleep.

I have notice that I seem to sleep more deeply and seem to dream more. I usually wake more easily in the morning.

With regard to exercise I have noticed that I can exercise more vigorously and tend to sweat more. One word of caution is that I have had a some minor joint discomfort and I believe a touch of tendinitis. I attribute to exercising a little too vigorously I guess that even though my muscles can generate more energy my joints and tendons were not ready for it.

All in all I am most pleased and I don't dare miss taking it.

I started using one teaspoon in a glass of juice now I am up to two a day and it makes a big difference Thanks! before I was dragging all day and needed a nap when i got home from work now I can keep going without effort.

Started approx March 10th. Take it in AM and early PM. Has next to no taste and drank it in water. It took about 2 weeks to feel better and even started doing my crafts which I hadn't been doing for about 1 year.
Dr Oz recommends it for anyone who feels tired.

Really great a I have ordered more product at a great price.
