This particular malt powder is wonderful. If you like malted milk drinks, or just like the flavor of malt, this is for you. Malt is mainly a blend of more complex sugars and doesn't generally cause blood-sugar spikes for diabetics. While it tastes quite sweet, 1.5 tablespoons of this powder has only 15 calories and 3 gm of sugars. This particular powder is super-fine and dissolves easily in even cold liquids. Highly recommended.

Wonderful product, no doubt about it! But Amazon.com just increased the price by 63% at one fell swoop. I'll shop for it elsewhere, thank you. (Date of review: Feb. 18, 2011)

I was looking for a malted milk powder like the Horlick's that I remembered as a child. The NOW brand tastes EXACTLY the same as I remember the Horlick's Malted Milk Tablets tasting. This malted milk dissolves easily in a little cold milk with a bit of whisking. I have enjoyed it in milk, malts and I'll admit, eating it dry right from the spoon, it tastes just the same as those yummy tablets! I chose this malted milk on Amazon because it is considerably less expensive than Horlick's and I won't look any further!
