This powder just needs a little sweetener (I use sugar, but you could use stevia) to cover up the aftertaste. Glycine is sweet but in large doses has a saccharin-like flavor. My son uses one tablespoon three times a day to contol his psychotic symptoms. It works like a charm! (Dose was calculated .8 grams per kilo of body weight.) He's had none of the side effects he had from prescription antipsychotics (he tried several). This product is cheap and effective, which is probably why your doctor doesn't know about it, despite recent studies!

This powder is sweet, easy to add to smoothies. I combine it with glutamine to help my son with mental health issues.

I use Glycine in my protein drink following my workout. Research has shown that Glycine helps in the recovery process by feeding muscles depleted by intense exercise. I think I got a good product and at a great price to make this a very good value.
