No bad taste.

I can't say much about the results since I just started taking it - but from the research I looked into, this can benefit.
Connor333
Mix it with your favorite beverage and the taste is fine.

Since taking arginine in pill form can require swallowing a lot of elephant-sized pills, using powder seems the better way to go. I usually look askance at claims that a product tastes horrible (after all, how bad can it be -- just swallow and you're done) but in this case the other reviewers are not exaggerating. It is truly awful. Some people on this page recommend lemonade mix and other powdered drinks to mask the bad taste. I just stumbled upon a good, natural solution. I added a teaspoon of Natural Vitality Natural Calm Raspberry Lemon 16oz and it seems to do the trick. Since magnesium supplementation may have benefits for people who exercise heavily this seems to serve two worthy purposes. It doesn't make the arginine taste like candy, mind you, but it does go a long way toward neutralizing its awful flavor.

I am in my mid-fifties and have always been on the slender side, working out on and off with varying consistency and intensity over almost 4 decades to avoid being "skinny". An extra 5-10 pounds of muscle goes a long way to improve appearance and athletic competitiveness, and as I age, to avoid injuries. But now I notice it takes more work out effort to get results than it used to, probably because of decreasing testosterone levels over the years. That's where this product comes in. I have been amazed at the increase in muscle strength, endurance and size that I have experienced, as early as 3 weeks and really coming on 3 months after starting use. You have to work out hard, but the pay off for your effort is dramatically increased, which has been extremely satisfying. I've tried testosterone supplementation, creatine, NOX, protein supplements, etc. and nothing compares to this. And it's safe; my doctor told me to try it!

I take it twice a day just as recommended on the package, together with L-Citrulline powder and L-Ornithine capsules, also by NOW, and as recommended in the instructions. Regarding the absolutely disgusting taste, I completely agree with the worst criticisms. However, I've found that if I dissolve the powders in a tablespoon or two of cranberry juice and take it in one swallow while holding my breath, then rinse and swallow with plain cranberry juice, still holding my breath, I hardly taste the stuff.

I'll keep this short & sweet: Aside from the great price per pound of pure 5 grams of L-ARGININE, this tastes like PURE SATANIC EVIL.

The powder itself is pretty odorless, but:

1) When mixed with water only, tastes like sewer/toilet/poop water.
2) When mixed with milk or protein shake, the taste is still there, it will ruin ur shake...
3) When mixed with orange juice, the aweful taste is 75% gone, but the OJ gets too creamy.
4) When mixed with Lemonade, the taste is about 90% gone, but way too sweet if you get it the pre mixed kinda like Turkey Hill..

THE BEST WAY TO GET RID OF 99% OF BAD TASTE IS THIS:
Mix it with a low calorie (5 cal) lemonade powder mix like crystal lite or other low cal mix... Lemonade flavor is the best...it somehow neautralizes the HORRIBLE FLAVOR.

BOTTOM LINE, will I buy it again? YES, until they comeout with a cheaper good flavor ARGININE, this is it...

I just finished my third 1 lb container of NOW L-Arginine with no plans to stop. If you sort the reviews here based on product satisfaction other than the unanimous issue regarding "taste" and the occasional problem with shipment issues etc. this is a solid 100% rated 5 STAR product in terms of effectiveness. I realized this nine months ago when I first ordered NOW L-Arginine and figured it had to be very effective if so many people continued to faithfully use sometime that tasted so bad. I never tried mixing it with anything other than a few ounces of water, swirling and swallowing in one quick comfortable gulp (without inhaling any air) for a nearly tasteless experience other than a slight and almost pleasant after-taste of shrimp.

I take two teaspoons every night before bed on an empty stomach. At first I added 1/4 teaspoon of NOW L-Citruline Powder but eventually stopped when I ran out and later read L-Citruline is converted by the body into L-Arginine anyway. After my second pound of L-Arginine I did not notice missing the effects of L-Citruline so I never reordered it again. If anyone besides me has experimented and compared L-Arginine with and without L-Citruline I would like to hear if your experience is any different than mine. Please comment here. I did not notice the L-Citruline made much of a difference in the benefits I was experiencing from L-Arginine.

Eventually I started adding a teaspoon of L-Glutatmine Powder from Source Natural and noticed that this addition made the taste of L-Arginine even less of an issue. L-Glutamine is sweet but tasteless. And still later i started adding my nightly teaspoon of ProBiotics Sodium Ascorbate Powder (4500mg C) into the same two ounces of water with L-Arginine and L-Glutamine.

I have used this product for 6 months and have seen a diffrence in my body. I am 63 and work out and run regulary. I can see my muscle tone improve and my "other parts down south" improve in circulation (I can actually see veins in that part that were much smaller before) The circulation helps with the hardness for sure. To take this product I mix it in Oceanspray cranberry peach juice. That seems to mask the bad taste... Ed
