I've been lifting heavy for many years and probably about 7 years ago I started using creatine. It can be a very effective supplement if taken at the proper dosages and stacked with a few other supplements that work well together with creatine.

There are a few things I would strongly recommend adding to this particular brand for maximum gains.

1. SUGAR! Grape juice is best, but whatever you use make sure to take this stuff with sugar. Think of creatine as the passenger and the sugar as freakin jetpacks that propels the creatine into your bloodstream (and therefore your muscles!) at lightening speed.

2. GLUTAMINE! Makes a BIG difference in muscle recovery when taking the proper dosage. Best price I've found on glutamine is on amazon; 500 grams L Glutamine Bulk Powder.

And more than anything else, remember these are just supplements. If your not taking the necessary steps in the gym and out of the gym (i.e. what you eat!), then none of this stuff will do you any good. But if you do have all the other pieces of the puzzle in place, then taking these supplements will take your training to the next level.

I bought this brand a few months ago for the first time. I usually drink it during my workouts and it works great! Just as others have written it dissolves very poorly, but the product works and is cheap! I definitely recommend it. PS: Prepare to to go to the restroom a lot, also keep in mind that if you take to much of the creatine at one time you will get the sh*ts! Hope this was helpful.
