I have been using Oregano oil for over a year now for arthritis and other problems, my dog uses it too [with his vets permission]. I always used organic oregano oil from Mt. Rose Herbs, but decided after satisfactorily using a number of NOW oils decided for economic reasons to give NOW oregano oil a try. I don't like it. I don't think it is nearly as therapeutically...

I got a hang nail on my pinky finger that irritated me so I tried to tug it off unsuccessfully. Instead the pinky started to hurt, but I thought it would heal and the pain would subside. Within hours it swelled up, turned red and by the next day I could no longer use my keyboard without wincing it was SOOO painful. I put antibiotic cream on it and bandaged it up, but it didn't help. I was certain that I had a staph infection and would have to go on oral or IV antibiotics. I panicked and did some research online and heard that Oil of Oregano would work, but it was recommending another brand of oil.

I found the NOW brand of oregano oil in my cabinet, it was years old already, I don't even remember why I bought it. By now my finger was bright red and had doubled in size and did I mention.....it was painful? I put several drops on it and hoped for the best. Guess what, the redness eased up after a few hours. The next day the swelling went down considerably, I repeated this 3x a day for a couple more days and the finger healed completely by day 3. The swelling was so severe that it had actually separated the nail bed on one side. I'm so thankful for this.

NOW ... ;-)) I won't even think of not having a couple of bottles of this stuff lying around and I always travel with one. I've swabbed it very diluted with of olive oil in our ears to prevent ear infections. I placed drops of it on a tissue and put the tissue in a zip loc bag and have my kids inhale it when they show signs of catching a cold, this helps with sinus infections too. My boys also have sweaty smelly feet, after showering one day I rubbed it on their clean feet and their feet no longer smell even after having socks and shoes on all day.

Recently I did buy a fresh new bottle that was already diluted in olive oil to take orally, another brand, just because it was easier to drop into a capsule. We use it at the first sign of a cold and all coughs and sniffles are gone the next day. Unbelievable! Now I'm prepared for swine flu.

I like this particular brand though because its pure and not diluted with olive oil so I feel it keeps well and doesn't go rancid as easily. Its also priced well and as far as I can tell it works just as well, after all, it took care of my staph infection.

I LOVE this stuff!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Now Oregano Oil, March 4, 2010
Great product, when you rotate oregano oil and caprylic acid (take each every two weeks), adding acidophilus at night, before you go to bed. You'll get rid of candida overgrowth. You have to follow an anti candida diet.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for first aid!, July 26, 2010
I've used the Now Brand Oil of Oregano several times to cure minor topical infections- it always worked remarkably well. But, last week, it really impressed me. It cured a severe and deeply infected heel. The entire heel was swollen, turning purple, with red streaks leading away from the site of the puncture wound. The heel was ugly, but what was really scaring me was the red streaks. That's a sign that the infection is about to spread to the entire body. The streaks were short, so I thought I'd give the oil of oregano a chance to work. I had really only hoped to whack back the infection a bit so we could make it until morning and avoid having to go to the emergency room that night. That evening, I put 3-4 drops of oil of oregano on the entire heel and bandaged the foot up. A couple hours later, I checked it and put a few more drops on it. Each time I looked at it, the heel looked a little better. I put oil of oregano on the heel 3 times that night. By morning- the heel was a beautiful, healthy, peach color, with no swelling and NO visible signs of infection. First thing in the morning, we went to the Dr. After 20 minutes of minor surgery, she removed a 1 cm fragment of a needle from the heel. I knew oil of oregano was good for topical infections- but it even cured this serious infection! Based on my experience with it, I am convinced that it penetrates the skin and gets into the blood stream, at least moderately. That was no placebo effect! I will DEFINITELY make sure I always have a bottle of it in my first aid kit!

As a professional singer, one must always keep their voice in top shape. This product is the miracle that helps me keep it there! I started taking this on a daily basis in the morning and haven't had to deal with seasonal allergies, sinus problems or bronchitis since I've been taking it.

I have tried the liquid oil or oregano which just burned and had an awful taste AND after taste for about 2 hours... couldn't deal with it. I tried another brand of oil of oregano which was price at a high price point, it worked good as well, but this is the best deal for you buck. It is guaranteed to have authentic and quality oil of oregano in the products and this is the brand that my local health food market recommends.

5.0 out of 5 stars kills finger nail fungus, February 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This stuff kills nail fungus and it Oregano Oil 100% Pure 1 oz smells very strong so be aware that if you have it on your finger nail that it will offend others, especially in restaurants. I had a finger nail condition for several months, then after applying this stuff it started to heal right away. It only takes a couple of drops at one time. It is IMPORTANT not to let the oil touch another finger nail after it has touched the fungus. It will carry the infection to a healthy nail so it must be isolated to only the infected nail. It really works. This stuff is just as good as the Dr. Pinkus stuff. The bottle has no eye dropper so to use just hold the bottle perfectly upside down and wait a few seconds then it will soon dispense in drops. It is how the special top is made. I use it on my days off.

We went to Northern Ontario last Summer and my husband started getting sick with a sore throat, painful sinuses and his whole body felt crummy. We went into a health food store for some ginger type of concoction that might help him. We found out that the popular remedy up there is oil of oregano, they put 7 to 8 drops into a quarter cup of warm water taken 3 to 5 times a day. It worked so well, my husband was 100% well in two days. When I started getting sick I also tried it and I got well very fast too. The stores up in Northern Ontario sell of out oil of oregano because it is so popular. Now we take the capsules when we start feeling like we are getting sick.

5.0 out of 5 stars POTENT! INEXPENSIVE!, October 10, 2011

This is perfectly good oregano oil. I've never seen bad oregano oil, so I don't know what it'd be like. But this seems perfectly fresh, potent, and effective. Oregano oil is amazing! By the way, a lot of "oregano oil" you can buy is some other oil WITH oregano oil; this is 100% oregano oil, and it's the cheapest source I've found. GOOD PRODUCT!

Rose Herbs, but decided after satisfactorily using a number of NOW oils decided for economic reasons to give NOW oregano oil a try. I don't like it. I don't think it is nearly as therapeutically effective, the taste is blisteringly painful, and the smell is strong and unpleasant.
I am a firm believer in the use of essential oils for a number of personal as well as therapeutic uses and while I am far from an expert I've done a great deal of research and I do not recommend this oil, others by NOW yes, oregano oil no.
