"Best Of The Best In Country Music Today!',
By M. Mariba "the teacher" (pretoria, south africa) - See all my reviews (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: NOW That's What I Call Country 4 (Audio CD)
This is a fantastic CD release titled 'Now That's What I Call Country 4" : has most of the recent biggest country music artists as well as their greatest hits (including 11 # 1 country hits). There is no weak track, just great & solid 18 tracks only! Stand-outs/gems/solid tracks (12 out of 18) are "Hello World" by Lady Antebellum (wonderful piano, vocals & melody), "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry (incredible banjo/guitar, vocals & melody), "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking" by Blake Shelton, "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not" by Thompson Square, "Roll With It" by Easton Corbin (beautiful vocals & melody), "Only Prettier" by Miranda Lambert, "Smoke A Little Smoke" by Eric Church, "Someone Else Calling You" by Luke Bryan (wonderful violin/music & vocals), "Come Back Song" by Darius Rucker, "What Do You Want" by Jerrod Niemann (incredible harmonies/vocals & melody), "Let Me Down Easy" by Billy Currington & "Colder Weather" by Zac Brown Band. Great tracks (6 out of 18) are "Stuck Like Glue" by Sugarland (up-tempo track with great vocals/harmonies), "Undo It" by Carrie Underwood, "Put You In A Song" by Keith Urban, "Voices" by Chris Young, "Back To December" by Taylor Swift & "The Breath You Take" by George Strait. Most fans would be familiar with most of these wonderful songs (recent releases that are on major radio airwaves & TV networks) but not on one CD compilation like this one. On overall, you have the best country music artists & their great hits/songs, recent releases in a highly recommended CD compilation. A well deserved 5 star rated CD.

Now That's What I Call Country 4 is a great collection of recent country hits. Very strong mix of songs here.
The only misstep is "Stuck Like Glue" which is the most unlikeable song since "Honkytonk Badonkadonk."

"Now That's What I Call Country" (Vol. 4) is a great selection of contemporary country hits. The one thing that is enjoyable about the cd is that many of the artists symbolize different moods. For example, "Stuck Like Glue" is an upbeat song to listen to when you are in a happier mood. "Back to December" and "Put You In a Song" are more serious minded songs. "Now That's What I Call Country" (Vol. 4) is great to get if you enjoy contemporary country music songs and/or country music collections from various artists.

Not one of the best country cds in the world and would not reccomend, too many artists that sounded
more like rock/roll than pure country

This is a great collection of recent country hits. If you ever listen to country radio, you have heard all of the tracks already. I like all of them accept for "Stuck Like Glue," but it is very popular so I can see why it was included here.

Please, If You Are Someone That Collects Country Music, Don't Get This,

Most of the songs on here are ones that you would find on their CD. This is just for the one who thinks having a CD collection is second rate. So, just like the title suggests, don't buy this if you collect CDs.

For the most part, a very enjoyable CD. Great songs by great singers. There are a few songs I skip over, but that may be due to personal preference. Would recommend this album.

I am an avid fan of this series as it contains ALL the recent country chart hits on a single disc, and is so convenient to listen to when the need arises, which in my case is often. It is indeed a boon for all country fans who will do well to get this and the previous three issues and complete their library of New Country Music.
