I've got this kit up and running after putting together a simple 45º clamp mount for it. Doing so wasn't exactly an easy task however. The frame for the panel has six un-threaded holes drilled in the back for mounting. What I ended up doing was gluing some nuts to the inside and then bolting the panel to a 1/4" piece of plywood. I can think of more than a few easier ways to do it now but that worked and I'm up & charging. I put the electronics in a small, shoebox size plastic container.

I was pleased with the quality of the components of the kit. They are about what I was expecting out of a $60, all in one kit. The charge controller feels a bit flimsy though. The LED bulb is actually a 12v lamp with a 12V LED bulb which cannot be used in your bedside lamp (and is labeled as such).

I'm glad someone finally marketed a starter/portable kit like this. I'm also glad to have access to power and light in case of a power outage.
