I was worried if it would fit my Sony H-10. I wanted to buy a new one when my original gave way after just 2 yrs of use. So I did not want to buy Sony batteries now. At the low price, I bought two, just for back up. This one should keep the charge for about 45% longer.

The worry I have: It is 3.6V, when the original is 3.5V. I know that should not make a big difference, especially as the actual voltage when fully charged is higher and goes down with use and so 3.6 is just the average.

Also, no company name on it! Generics without any company name scare me. Is it illegal? Is it so poor quality that the company would not give its name to it? What you see in the Amazon picture is exactly what you see on the battery, on BOTH sides! Looks shady to me. If I had known this before I would have gone for a little high priced one but with a company name on it and have a peace of mind. I thought Amazon would never sell a product with absolutely no company name on it. Poor quality batteries can even damage your electronics. I think I will update this post a few months later to let you know if I had any problems, but with no company name who am I even targeting with this review?

The battery that I received came in a very handy plastic box, but it has no markings indicating that it is a "Sony" product. But Hey, for what I paid for it the plastic box would be worth it. I have quite a bit of experience with batteries, and the best that you can hope for is that it works properly. If this one goes south I will simply purchase another. Shipping was prompt, and I recieved it as promised.

It does not exactly look like the original battery that came with the camera, but it works with the camera!

This battery worked fine in my HX9V the first couple of times I used it (it's a NP-BG1). But after a few re-chargings it started to give me the error message "For use with compatible battery only", and then the camera shuts down. Oh well, I guess some things are too good to be true!

The battery they actually ship is the NP-FG1 AND NOT THE NP-BG1 that they have in the listing. Actually the NP-FG1 is the newer model battery that will work exactly the same but it will also display the time left of battery life on your camera display. Lucky for them or I would be sending this back ASAP. So after all is said and done you are really getting a better battery that will fit the same models for a dirt cheap price.
