The NSD PowerŽ Ball is a brilliant piece of engineering that harnesses the physics of a gyroscope to create a product that is entertaining, physically beneficial, and just plain addictive. There are no internal batteries or motor. All of the physical and electrical energy is created by the user through gyroscopic force as well as an internal generator that powers the neon LEDs. As the user begins to increase the speed of the internal gyro, inertia is subsequently increased exerting a smooth and steady resistance on the fingers, hand, wrist, forearm, and shoulder.
Right now, the World NSD PowerŽ Ball record is held by Akis Kritsinelis of Greece at 16,317 RPM, monitored by an optional Digital Speed Meter attachment. Imitation gyro exercisers exist on the market today that look very similar to the Original NSD PowerŽ Ball, but fall far short in performance and reliability. Mass produced in China, these units are often characterized by low grade iron axles and cheap plastics which lead to strong vibrations and frequent product failure.

I think it works like its supposed to, but I bought all the extras, the electric starter (what a joke), the digital cap (best part of the whole thing) but it just does not work the way I wanted. I have carpel tunnel, and I need it to do the rotating, and it would help, but it requires me to make it rotate the whole time, so I dont get what I need from it. I wanted something to stregthen my wrists, but it seems to hurt them more than help, so its on the shelf, waiting for me to DI or sell to another poor sap.
