This is pretty much the coolest item I have purchased recently, even though my original reason for purchasing it was probably not the best idea. I had originally purchased them trash can for my bathroom. While this might be appropriate for a larger bathroom, it was too sensitive and would open every time I walked past (my bathroom is quite small, though). Nonetheless, it is an awesome item! First of all, the trashcan looks nice enough -- clean and simple. It works like a charm, as all you have to do is wave your hand in front of it and it opens promptly, waiting until you remove your hand to close. It contains a removable bin so that you can carry the trash to a larger bin when it's full. I was afraid of having to constantly replace that batteries for the unit. This is not the case, as it has been several months and is still working just as it was in the beginning. The quality of the unit seems very good, not cheap or easily breakable. I very much enjoy the fact that I don't have to touch my trashcan to throw things in it. It's not a novelty, it's a luxury, but at an affordable price.

Seems to be good quality and work well, I've only had it for a few days. It wont rust like the last "stainless Steal" can we had in the bathroom. The only problem is it says it will trigger from 10 inches, but we find it to be more like 4 inches. We have a Chow Chow and we had to turn the old can backwards or it would open when he walked by, inviting him to look inside. He does not trigger this one, it's just tall enough and seems to only trigger from above, not outward. You don't have to do anything to remove the inner bucket, it fits through the opening, the old one you had to remove the top ring/battery holder to get the basket out (ithouch 1gal)

ordered two of the same; both came on time. Only problem, one works great, the other works just okay (lid opens only part way, defeating the touchless purpose).

This trash can is just what my 8 year old son wanted to go with his touchless faucet and automatic soap dispenser. Now he washes more often because they are fun to use and he can throw away used dixie cups and tissues without getting his hands dirty. We all love it, and use his bathroom more than our own now. Just kidding, but it is great.
