Yes, it's another group of five young white boys making dance-influenced pop that makes the girls scream. Not only is the composition of this group familiar, their sound is almost a clone of fellow teenybopper dreams the Backstreet Boys. It's probably not surprising, considering that they share the same manager (who had all five members of '80s preteen scream machine New Kids on the Block as the best men at his wedding, natch). The resemblance is a little too close for comfort, however, with almost every track here mirroring one on the Backstreet Boys album. From the radio hit "I Want You Back" and the sugary harmonizing on ballads like "God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You" to the one-step-forward, two-steps-back approach to sex appeal on "Giddy Up," 'N Sync (or their producers) have crafted the perfect balance of catchy pop ditties and swoon-inducing slow jams. --Rebecca Wallwork

The first thirteen songs on here are from the U.S. debut album. The live version of Sailing is also on the God Must Have Spent..."limited edition" single. More Than A Feeling is on the European debut cd (along with four other songs not in the U.S.--Riddle, Together Again, Best Of My Life, and Forever Young). Sundreams is also on the Together Again single--only there's a misprint, the front cover and the cd say two different names: Sundreams and Some Dreams. The correct name--I'm pretty sure--is Some Dreams. It's the same song, though. The Tearin' Up My Heart (Phat Dub) can be found on the Tearin' Up My Heart single and the I Want You Back (Back Beat Radio Edit) can be found on the I Want You Back single. The only three European songs (that I know of) that are not on this album are Lion Sleeps Tonight (you can find it on the For the Girl Who Has Everything single), Thinking Of You (European version of I Drive Myself Crazy, JC sings in the beginning instead of Chris and it's a different beat--you can find it on the Winter Album), and U Drive Me Crazy (also found on the Winter Album). I really liked this cd. The extra tracks are pretty cool. I just want to say to those who don't know what is on the cd that the first 13 songs are the same as the US version of their first cd ('N Sync). All the bonus tracks are available on other singles and import cds as bonus tracks. If you are starting to buy those import singles, you may want to wait on this cd until you get the others. "Sailing" (live version) is on the U.S. GMHS cd single. "More than a feeling" is on the 'N Sync BMG import (their real 1st album). "Sundreams" is on a few of the singles as bonus tracks like the Together Again single. And the last two songs TUMH (phat dub) & IWYB (back beat radio edit) on one of the 4 single imports for them. I hope this is the kind of feedback you were looking for! By the way, the "Thinking of you (I drive myself crazy)" single is sooo well worth it! It is one of their best singles w/5 versions on it.

Hey! This CD is AWESOME! It's the Japanese 2nd album..it includes a song book in Japanese w/ pics of the guys inside. Also, on the front, the cover is totally different!
