Even though these are only a 2:1 shrink ratio, there are enough sizes to fit just about every application I have. I have used better shrink tubing, but not for anywhere near this price. You really can't beat a deal like this. I am tempted to order a cople more just in case this deal ever goes away! The colors are soft, but still plenty bright enough, and they have a matte finish. I have had some colored shrink tube that was more of a gloss finish to them, and they look really cheap. These have a much more professional look, and they work just as well as any other 2:1 shrink tube I have used. And again... What a deal! 160 pieces will last the average person a long time, and there are enough different sizes to fit almost any regular job. 5 stars all the way!

Other reviews claimed these might be too small to be useful, but for me the are perfect! They will be used for creating small wire looms in light duty electrical work and are exactly as needed. There are also larger sizes for other uses so as a general purpose heat-shrink kit this fits the bill.

Shrink tubing is shape memory plastic tubing that returns to a smaller diameter when heated by a heat gun or soldering iron. I use it to insulate and reinforce soldered in-line connections. It is also useful as strain relief where wires emerge from cases or cabinets or are exposed to abrasion or repeatedflexion stresses.

This assortment offers a satisfactory variety of colors and diameters in only one length (the length is fine for uses cited above but may be too short for other applications.

This product comes in a nice six compartment box starting with 1/16" and finishing at 3/8" with a good assortment of colors. These sizes will fulfill about any size needs you may have in joining two to four wires of most sizes.

You do get a lot of pieces in this kit but 60 are 1/16" which is too small to even be useful. 35 is 3/32" which is not much use either in my opinion. 25 1/8" may have some use. The 1/4" and the 3/8" you only get 10 each of those. This kit is not worth even the little it cost. I would not have purchased it had I known the sizes and quantities ahead of time. Hope this list helps others looking at this kit. I would not recommend this kit for any one needing it for Auto electrical. It may be useful to someone working on telephone wires.

I have had this for over a year, and I still have heat shrink left. Comes in sizes that I actually use. It is pretty good quality, and not thin like some other stuff. Don't buy heat shrink at your local radio shack, buy it here.

I've always bought the grey heat shrink tubing by the foot and while I'm sure it is cheaper, it sure isn't handy to use. I finally broke down and got this so I could send some to my son in Europe, where it is not easy to find, and discovered I should have done this years ago. I don't use a lot on a specific application anyway, so why deal with the hassle of long strands. The storage box is also very nice, no more gallon baggie bulging with the long pieces I've used in the past. Plus the colors are nice.

Great performance when used to protect my cables in my solar project. The shrinking performance was very good. Quite rapid to shrink when heat is applied
