My gal & I love playing NTN trivia at the bar, so when she gave me the home version for my birthday, I was ecstatic. Well, my hopes were a little high. The questions repeated in the 2nd game we played. My biggest gripe is that both of the controllers don't register if pressed at the same time. Only one does, and the other person loses points. I'd say save your money on this game. Take it to the bar and play for free.

We bought this game thinking it would be fun for our regular game nights with friends. We were very disappointed. The game is poorly constructed. The remotes are flimsy and I would be affraid of easy breakage. The IR signal is very weak (we were within 4 feet from the system and half the time it would not register). The base only runds on batteries and is a huge memory hog. The questions were very easy and repeat often. The graphics are horrible, the are about what you would expect from an Atari game around 1980, not at all upto current standards. For the cost the Trival Pursuit DVD editions beat this game hands down!

Why would the manufacturer's of this game make it so that it ONLY can run on batteries and non-rechargable ones at that? My husband and I played for about 1 1/2 hours last night and by the end the sound had already started to go. We are assuming it's the batteries ALREADY.
More Pet Peeves: The controllers are super sensative in terms of what buttons you pick. Often we had thought we choose the correct answer to only find at the scoreboard that we received -200 points instead. The scoreboard doesn't show you what answer you choose, like at the bar. See problem above. The controller doesn't show you what you choose like at the bar. I see the TV poker games have this feature (where you can see your cards on the controller) so there is no reason why they couldn't have done this for us too. We played about 7-8 games. We had to have had about 12 questions repeat. They repeated so quickly we could even remember what number the answer was. All is going back to the store tonight. I'll just hope and wait for another Jack game to come out instead and drag out the ol' Playstation. Good concept -- just not quite there. Might have even been able to look beyond the issues listed above if it didn't drain a whole set of 4 batteries in 1 1/2 hours play with no alternative such as recharable's or electricity.

I thought this game was fun, for the first couple of games. Sure, the remotes are infrared with a range of about 8 feet (when you point STRAIGHT at the console), some of the words are spelled wrong, most of the questions are about art and history, and the graphics are on par with those plug-n-play joystick games, but the one thing that really got me was when it started repeating questions after TWO GAMES. The third game introduced us to repeat questions. There are 750 games, and we had seen just over 30 of them... Save your money, get You Don't Know Jack or just play Trivia pursuit. Stay Away!

This game has the graphics of an atari game and is fairly expensive. The game would be worth it if it costs $10 but not the $50 or $70 that we paid for four controlers. Save your money. I was very disappointed with this game.

This game is Trivia in a very fun and all-inclusive way. I bought this game for my family about a month ago. We love Trivial Pursuit and play often. I thought this would be a nice change.
We set the game up on Thanksgiving. The whole family loved it and there was an on-going trivia tournament the entire day and through the evening. It was hard to get people away from the game to eat Thanksgiving dinner! In my opinion the best and most distinct reason this game is great is the "all-play" scenario it creates. My kids (ages 9-12) don't get bored because there is zero down time. Every player plays on every question. You are always on your toes...you play one question after another after another. This is a real "buzz-in" style game...like TV game shows. The controllers are wireless too, so it is family room friendly! Also, I rated this game highly educational. Trivia is always mind stimulating. This game follows up the correct answer with supplementary facts! Very informational. I give this item a big THUMBS UP! We will be giving the kids game cartridges in their stockings this Christmas! If you like trivia, you got to get this game!

I bought this thinking it would be really cool to play pool and play this game on our projector Tv which the screen is at least 90".But the words were cut off!Not to mention the graphics ,for the price, were very bad.We had the same problem of it not counting our score properly and many other dissapointing factors.I took it back to where I bought it and got my money back.I wish Gamecube or Xbox would come up with some trivia thing like that. They have wireless remotes that work and I bet there graphics and ?'s would be better!

My family and I had a great time playing this game. It is really addicting. Everyone gets their own controller unlike other TV Trivia games where you have to pass the remote. This is great for the kids because they are generally better with the remote than I am even though they may not know as many answers. We have been playing 2-3 times a week for over a month now and have not had to change batteries once! I would recommend this game to anyone who likes trival pursuit as it truely takes trivia games to a whole new level.

Some of that is due to the fact that nicer graphics are shown on the package. As others have said, these are graphics from the 80s. Second, the remotes don't work as well as they should for a game that requires you to quickly buzz in your answer. Third, some of the questions are too easy. It's nice to have some questions you know, but when everyone is getting 900-1000 (Unless their remote won't let them buzz in) then you know the question is too easy.

My husband and I decided to purchase and play this game for ourselves before getting another to give as a gift. I'm so happy that we tried it first. We were so disappointed, and we promply returned it the next day. We bought the "Deluxe" version with 4 controllers and additional question; however 1 match between the 2 of us was all it took to make our decision. The graphics and music left much to be desired (think early Nintendo); the questions were okay but the clues were really cheesey; we quickly figured out that you can change your answer at the last minute, so there was no penalty for guessing right off the bat (for higher points). Overall, it was not challenging, not impressive, and not worth the money.
