The Nuk nipple shape was the only style she would latch onto as a breastfed baby. She took to the Nuk much easier than any of the other many brands we tried before we tried these. We like that, unlike the Soothies, the Nuk has a hard plastic part to it which means it doesn't bounce and roll away and get lost constantly. Guess what? My baby is 4 months old and we haven't had to buy more than ONE pack of these pacifiers! I think with daughter #1 we'd probably spent about $50 on the Soothies by this point...
One thing I will say is that the latex does seem to break down after a certain time. My daughter used the purple & pink pacifier for many weeks before it finally got so thin and weak that she started rejecting it again. We pulled out the second pacifier in the package and she happily took it. The purple & pink one she'd used for weeks was noticeably weaker and thinner than the unused one. So obviously the latex wears down with time. BUT, this doesn't bother me as we used ONE pacifier for the first few months of her life before replacing it with the second one in the package. That's fine by me!
To avoid losing the pacifier we use it with the Munchkin brand pacifier clip which works excellently. I think Nuk makes a great pacifier. My daughter preferred the texture of the latex version much more than the Nuk's that are made from silicone. I have a theory that this is because the latex feels more like mom's nipple, more skin-like. I would highly recommend this pacifier to the breastfeeding mom, we've been very happy with it.
Great price for a favorite in our house. Would be nice to be able to pick the color, but we have a million of these anyway. At $2 a piece, this beats buying this pacifier in the store.
All 3 kids have used NUKs (sometimes in conjunction with other brands). Love that these are orthodontic and don't interfere with tooth development. It seems like it's easier for young babies to keep this shape in their mouth. Both daughters preferred the original latex type, while my son would only take the silicone NUK. I'd recommend getting one of each.
Update: Ordered 2 more as backups, got 2 more yellows. Wish I could get a different color!

You can get 2 pacifiers for the same price from another merchant on Amazon.com. At this price for one, it is far more expensive than what a local pharmacy charges.Published on January 13, 2012 by Siu Yung Chiu
My kid has 2 pacifiers that they will take. This is one of them. We have tried others and this one fits the bill.

Never thought I'd offer my baby a pacifier but this was one of the best investments we've made as parents. Our son has a huge suck reflex and this pacifier has been our savior!Published on November 2, 2011 by Dulciedoo
