My daughter really enjoys the taste of this toothpaste. We originally ordered it when we were looking for an alternative to the baby orajel stuff we buy at the store. The orajel brand has Parabens which there has been a lot of bad press about. We were buying the JASON brand, but the fingertip brush JASON includes isn't useful, where this comes with a normal style brush.I agree with the other reviewer that the toothbrush doesn't hold up as well as some others. Cons: Toothbrush doesn't hold up for long More expensive than other brands Pros: NO Parabens Good taste

Great product I don't know how I would get my toddler to use regular toothpaste. This has a great flavor and best of all he doesn't have to spit it out. It is a bit pricey, but is a must have at our house. One tube lasts a long time for little teeth.

First of all, when I read the ingredients on the package I went "yuck". But the more I looked at them, I realized that it wasn't actually bad at all - it was actually excellent! The main tooth decay ingredient is Xylitol. Check out the wiki page on this to get a better feel for how good this sugar alcohol is. It has all kinds of studies indicating that it can help tooth decay significantly and has no known toxicity issues. The sugar alcohol is derived from trees and seems very safe. This is important. My kids are not old enough to realize that they can't swallow the toothpaste and I still need to keep their teeth clean ... As a side note, they use Xylitol in chewing gum. In fact it is in many of the more expensive chewing gum brands that promote healthy teeth. This is the only beginner toothpaste we use in our house. Check out the wiki page on Xylitol and I can say pretty confidently that you will use this as your only toothpaste with kids that may swallow their toothpaste. Other than the Xylitol, the rest of the ingredients are pretty innocuous and are claimed to be all natural. So there you are. Thanks!!

My son has had teeth since he was 3 or 4 months old. He was a very early teether and we did not slack off one bit, his teeth have been brushed every night since they cut through. I find through all the variety of brushes we have gone through, these seem to last the longest, the bristles are not too soft, and not too hard, so they hold up fairly well, for at least 2-3 months, which is great considering the amount of time we spend brushing. My son loves the fat handle and will often chew on it because it feels nice. He will also chew on the bristles as a practice brushing before his dad takes and it brushes his teeth properly. We generally sing "This is the way we brush our teeth..... early in the morning) and it keeps him calm enough for Daddy to get all those little pearly whites!

I was happy to see clear toothpaste come out of the tube when I purchased this product!! The toothbrush is pretty stiff-better for a mouth full of teeth but we LOVE the toothpaste. Worth it just for that. My son only has four teeth so we're still using our rubber bristle toothbrush but the handle on this one is easy to hold and will be great when he gets a little older.

Pros:looks cute toothpaste works good Cons: the head of the toothbrush is small compared to other toddler brushes bristles started to get "mashed" after 2 weeks (my daughter occasionally chews on it during brushing, but her last couple toothbrushes lasted 2-3 months each)

This contains propylene glycol..used to de-ice aircraft, in smoke machines, as antifreeze....horrible ingredient and it is in the 1st 5 ingredients.....I bought it for my 3 month old son and am cautious about ingredients like the parabens found in gripe water....research ingredients and find out for yourself what they really are....it will surprise you

The tooth brush is very cute. My 2 year old want to brush his teeth with it. However, once he put in his mouth, he was disappointed. The brush hair is just way too hard. It hurts his little mouth, gums and teeth. The tooth paste is great.

My daughter loves the toothbrush. At such a young age when teething occurs it makes it easy to clean their teeth.

Pros:The only toothbrush we've been able to find with a nice, short, chunky handle that my little one can grab on to and help brush. He had 10 teeth by 6 months, so "infant" toothbrushes that are more chew toys weren't what we needed, and toddler toothbrushes tend to have handles that are too long and skinny for him to use. I like that the cartoon on the front is a generic animal and not a brand name since we're trying to avoid the more obvious marketing as long as possible. Cons: This is the only place I've found the brush, and the seller won't let you pick your color. Not a big deal in terms of preference, but the purple brush leaves purple stains on my countertop, which concerns me and is also annoying. In addition, you can only buy the brush with the toothpaste - my son chews on the brush at least as often as it gets used as a brush, so we go through brushes MUCH faster than toothpaste. We now have several extra tubes lying around that I guess I'll give to a shelter or something? Yes, the brush does wear out very quickly, but I think it's because babies like to chew on it more than the poor quality of the brush. This is the only brush we buy now, but if anyone needs extra toothpaste, I've got it for you... |
