I had no experience buying sippy cups since Luke is my first baby, so I heard about this cup on a baby center blog, read the reviews and decided to give it a try... Luke started with it right when he turned 6 months...He loves this cup! The rubber type spout is similar to a baby bottle nipple so it is soft which is easy on his gums. (he has no teeth yet!) Anyway, he has no problem drinking from it. At first he thought it was a nipple, but he got used to it real fast. The only time it leaks is when he puts the whole end in his mouth and bites on it so he gets his shirt wet... but, it does not leak if it is dropped or flipped over .. which happens alot because he has learned how to drop or should I say throw things! Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend this cup. I looked for a second one at babysrus the other day and they didn't carry the same one. All of the other learner cups have a really hard spout which I personally didn't like. I am thinking about buying a couple more to keep at my mom's and the babysitter! The price is great too! I will upload a picture of him using it...

This is a great learner cup. The silicone spout works the best for my baby because it's more pliable. It also doesn't leak like others can.

Product update: Like many other reviewers, the silicone spout has now torn which now allows the cup to leak. Nuk does not sell replacement spouts (so useless!!). Now that my baby has learned to suck from a sippy cup I'll have to move on to cups with sturdier spouts.

Nuk: please start to sell replacement spouts for a decent price (not at a price that's identical to replacing the entire cup)-- Thanks!

My wife and I purchased this product after trying several different types from local stores. Our son had two heart surgeries after birth and he was approching a year old and we hadn't been able to transition him to a sippy cup. The biggest problem we were finding was the texture of the nipple.

This sippy is easy for him to suck though and the nipple texture is flexable yet sturdy like bottle, not hard like most sippy cups. It our son about a day to get comfortable with it and has worked great since.

Product is fine, however when they say "colors may vary" this could be very frustating. In my case, I have a baby boy and I got a red with flowers cup.

My son started taking these at about 6 months old because he wouldn't take a bottle for anything.

Now at 10 months its still the only sippy that he is willing to take, he LOVES them!

They dont leak and are easy for him to grab. We love the soft spout that is easy for him to drink from and it doesn't hurt him when he bites it.
I recommend this cup to everyone I know and will continue to use them in the future.

I got this based on the good reviews. I like everything about this cup ASIDE from the slow flow- it takes QUITE a bit of suction to get the liquid out, even for me. My baby is used to faster flow than this on her bottles, and I think she finds it frustrating to have to suck so hard to get so little liquid out, and therefore isn't interested in it. This is the first sippy cup I've seen that doesn't leak if it's shaken, but I think that's because it's hardly letting anything out to begin with. The size, handles, and soft spout are great for babies learning to use a sippy cup, but I wish they made different spouts so you had the option of different flow levels.

Please be advised I purchased one of these cups and it did specify the colors vary and can be either green, blue or red. However it never stated anything about flower designs on the cup we have a boy and I am not sure why flower designs are considered neutral! I am returning this today as I will not be using this for my son, also the cup was kind of dirty and scuffed up on the handles. Please keep this in mind when purchasing your order if you have a boy.

I started my baby on this sippy when he was 6 months. He is now 11 months and still loves it. He took to it very easily due to the soft spout, and although he has had 8 teeth since he was 8 months old, he has not damaged the spout. The handles are very well placed and nicely sized, which seems like a no brainer, but two other cups I've tried were not as good. This sippy does not leak, even if you shake it vigorously, so there is no fear of adding milk or formula to it while transitioning from a bottle. It comes apart easily to wash the parts and I like that there is no internal valve that is difficult to clean. Great sippy!

This is a great first sippy for babies who haven't taken a bottle. My son has been exclusively breastfed since birth, and refused bottles of all types. Once he was 4 months old, we decided to try a sippy, in hopes that I could get out and leave him with my husband for more than an hour or two at a time. It worked! He loves this sippy and was able to figure it out fairly quickly (within 2-3 tries). He never rejected it like he rejected the bottle. He's now 8 months and we do have other types of sippy cups that we use (has one with dinner each night), but this is definitely our favorite!

And yes, colors may vary- the first one we got was green with dragonflies. But things like that don't bother us- even if it had been pink we still would have used it. It would be nice to be able to choose the color, but the functionality is much more important!

I started my son on these at 8 months old. He took right to them without any problems. I love them because they truly do no leak at all. They are a good transition from bottle to a regular sippy cup because the baby sucks on it like a bottle and does not get choked from liquid coming out too fast. definately reccomend.
