My baby did not like other bottle nipples or pacifiers, and he wouldn't take any until I tried the Nuk orthodontic ones. These are shaped differently than most other bottle nipples; they are contoured instead of just sort of straight, and my baby preferred these. I don't know how much is just a baby's preference, but I would recommend these especially if you've had trouble getting your baby to take other bottles.

I first bought size 2 when we where trying to transition my son who was 7 months old from bottle to cup but the nipple that we bought was way to fast he would take big gulp and then gag & let it all run out of his mouth so we just let him have his other bottle back and push back the transition. then we bought the medium flow and he loves it.

Be aware that they will not fit other wide base nipple rings, I bought these only to find out that they wouldn't fit any of the other wide bottle rings I had. Have to get these kind for my baby who is exclusively breast fed. She'll only take wide base. I had to buy bottles separate upon receiving these nipples. No complaints about the product, just be aware. That's the only reason I gave four stars. For use though they are definitively a five!

My twins are having a hard time taking bottles because they have been exclusively breastfed and are now 2 mos. old. I found the nuk medium flow to be the best thing for them so far. They are not used to working hard for their milk at the breast so I needed a faster flow nipple...these seem to be just right for them. However, if your baby is used to a slower flow of milk at the breast...these would probably be too fast. They still don't really like taking bottles, but this has been the best out of all the different ones we have tried.

We have used Nuk bottles and pacifiers exclusively for daughter since birth. We have been super happy with them. At two months old it seemed like she was struggling to get food quick enough so I tried the sz 1 mediums. While baby loved them for getting more food(feed time for a 4oz bottle was reduced by approximately 60%!), and she seemed to burp great, after a few days I found that her body could not handle it and she was EXTREMELY fussy, probably from stomach pain. I have stepped down to the sz 1 slow flow for now (She is like her old self again), but I am sure these will be great in another month or so when she can handle faster feeding.

I only have one bottle that takes this size nipple, but the baby doesn't seem to mind this one. It's not my first choice of bottle size, but if it's a large bottle you have, then a large nipple you need - and this one works for my baby.

My baby got used to this since day one. I thought she was ready for the medium flow when she was five months old and got these. She never choked. She's now seven months and still uses these. It fits good with the NUK orthodontic bottles and the flow is good.

Have used these for my son, and now preferred to use these for my daughter too, no issues about colic etc. the nipple even fits into Avent bottles, they are good too, but these are excellent

We have tried to get our baby (now 7 weeks old) to take a bottle for several weeks now. She is breastfed and wanted nothing to do with it. We tried every nipple/bottle combo out there (Dr. Browns, Playtex, Avent, Born Free)! She will take an orthodontic paci so we tried these nipples. Thank goodness! She still doesn't like bottle feeding but at least we can get her to take one since I have to go back to work soon. I thought the flow was too fast on the Nuk bottles so I use them in the Born Free bottles - works great!

I love the NUK bottles but it's very hard to find the nipples in Puerto Rico. As always, Amazon to the rescue!
