My son stopped taking bottles when he was about 2 months old, so we decided to introduce a sippy cup around 4.5 months. Although this product says 6+ months, it's similar to others that are labelled 4+ months, so we tried it anyway. This is his favorite sippy cup! He took right to it and now it's our first choice when feeding him (his second favorite is a Playtex Baby The First Sipster Spill-Proof 7 OZ Cup: Boy Colors).

We really like the cup too and think it has may advantages over his other cups:
1. It's only five ounces. We're feeding him breast milk from it, so the smaller size is better since we only feed him 2-3 ounces per feeding.
2. It has a cap. No matter how "spill proof" a cup is, they all tend to drip a little, especially if they're dropped or transported with liquid in them. This cup also comes with an insert to go under the spout (like the kind that come in bottles), so the sippy cup has two ways to keep it from leaking while transporting, on top of the "spill proof" spout.
3. The handles project from the bottom of the cup instead of the top, which seems better for my son's little hands. Also, the handles are removable, which makes it easier to transport the cup in a bottle cooler. You can also tilt the handles a bit by attaching them at an angle, which can help your child drink (e.g. if the handles are at an angle, the baby can hold the cup so that the handles are parallel to the floor, but the angle of the cup is tilted towards the baby's mouth, helping the fluid to flow more easily out of the cup).
4. The pattern is great! My son loves to look at this cup.

The big disadvantage of the cup is that the spout is flimsy.

I have been looking for a sippy cup for my daughter as she approaches 6 months so she can learn to drink from other vessels other than her bottle. Almost all the sippy cups have average reviews except this which people either seem to love or hate. Personally I don't care what the cup looks like as long as it works and sadly this one doesn't. I thought that perhaps others were exaggerating when they said that you can't get liquid out even if you suck really hard but IT IS TRUE!! Take this warning and don't waste your money like I did! It is so hard to suck out liquid that my daughter would find it impossible. The search continues...!

My daughter never liked this cup, tried it several times myself and couldn't get anything to come out! If you take the leak guard out it leaks, so this cup was not good for us!

I have tried at least 10 different sippy cups and this is by far my favorite. This cup is very easy for him to hold and lift and it works more like a real cup. Plus the spout cleans well, some sippy cups I feel like its hard to really get the spouts good and clean. This cup is well designed and I highly recommend. We have 7 or 8 of these cups and my son loves them. Never had a problems since we started using them when he was about 7 months. He is 12 months now. Great value!

We are making the transition from bottle to sippy cup for my son who is seven months old. We've tried other cups that have not been the right fit. The rubberized tip is great for gums and the slits are just the right size so that he doesn't make a mess!

It is so easy for my 14 months old to hold. Actually he was holding it fine since he was 10 months old. I also love the fact that it doesn't have a valve. The spill-proof is built in.

I got this in my attempt to get my baby to take a bottle...or sippy or anything. I spent a fortune on bottles and cups and one day she just decided she was okay with the bottle. However, I think she became used to the faster flow of the bottle (even though the nipple was slow flow) and she started getting impatient with nursing. I remember trying to suck water out of this spout and it was so tough it gave me a headache. I figured if she had to work harder for her milk like when she nurses maybe she wouldn't expect the fast flow anymore. All that to say, this spout is definitely hard to get stuff out of but baby suction is much more powerful than adult suction so it totally worked for us. Not to mention, their trendline stuff is SO CUTE! Now I just need to buy replacement spouts for her bottles. Love that they are interchangeable.
