My use for this typewriter ribbon is to keep an old Smith-Corona Sterling Portable Typewriter going after my grandmother found it while shifting some things about in the garage. This is a fine ribbon for correspondence, hence the purchase, and is working well so far.

For the price, it is much easier on the pocketbook than the black-white ribbons from the same manufacturer (white being for correction). While I would have liked to have been able to find a black-red ribbon, this black on black ribbon is so far sufficient.

No complaints, no concerns so far; the ink ribbon is fresh in the box until you break the plastic bag inside. For those who have not changed a ribbon before, consider having a wet napkin nearby for when you have it tucked into the frame. That little bit of nylon packs a lot of ink.

I have a Corona typewriter from the 1930's. I thought I would never find a replacement ribbon for it but this one did the trick! It fits perfectly and works like a charm. There's nothing quite like typing on a typewriter that has a fresh ribbon!

This ink fit my 1956 Smith-Corona Sterling beautifully! I just got the typewriter a few weeks ago and it still had the original ink in it. I was not sure at first which ink ribbon to buy for it, but this did the trick! I re-wound it onto the original metal spools rather than use the plastic ones the ribbon came on, but that was not a huge deal. This was the best price I could find, and it shipped quickly. My typewriter prints beautifully! I will definitely be a return customer.

This ribbon is just what was needed to make an old Smith Corona manual typewriter useable again. It's great to have a ready source for supplies for old technology.
