For beginning DJ's, this is an excellent package to work with. It includes Two Axis2 CD Players, a Matrix2 pre-amp mixer and a travel case.

To call this case a "Nylon Case" is a serious understatement. This is one tough case. Hard foam and what feels like some wood covered on the outside with what feels like canvas (but is probably some sort of woven nylon).

The inside is compartmentalized and holds the epuipment very securely. There is extra padding iunside, and the entire top of the case detaches (just unzip). There are two covered holes (velcro on that nylon/canvas) for running cables, so there is no need to ever remove the units from the case. One side (which is the side the case rests on while open) has plastic "runners" to support the case and keep it looking nice. These is also a huge outside pocket, carrying handle and shoulder strap.

The CD Players had a pithch/search wheel that is a joy to work with. They also includer relay and fader start features, and digital output (S/PDIF). The pitch slider can be set to 8%, 16% or off. The cd drawers are front loading with an intensely bright work light.

These CD players have a remote feature for play and pause that can be used with foot pedals (available at any music shop), or hooked up between two players.

The mixer is just beautiful. It has an easily replaceable crossfader, which can be set to normal, reverse or off (along with slope or hard fade). Both size headphone jacks are on the front, along with a microphone input.

Channel one and two can be set Line or Phono/Aux. These are easy to set up and choose between. Outputs are Zone (or Booth), Record, and Master. All inputs and outputs are RCA type.

All channels and Microphone can be adjusted in low/med/high channels. The led meters are extremely accurate and are included for Master, Channel 1 and Channel 2. Also, there are two BNC style light connectors.

Being a three piece setup, you can easily upgrade the players or the mixer when you wish (or, like me, whenever I get the money saved up). This and the case are the main reason I decided to get this over the CD Mix2 (the Numark all in one unit).

When I recieved my equipment, I was missing a cable. Numark's web site only had an email contact for support. I was unsure how long I would have to wait, but I tried the email anyway.

By the end of the day, I got a reply. The next day, I was on the phone with Numark. They had me fax my info over, and sent out the cables. Tremendous support!

I DJ at a downtown club (Saturday nights). I wanted some equipment at home to practice on, and the Fusion 222 is perfect for me. I'm also able to use this professionally.

Numark means great equipment and great service, and this is a great price. If you're just starting to set up your own equipment, this is a heckuva great way to go.

After hours of looking and looking and looking. This is the model that i chose. It is very well set up. It is the numark matrix 2 mixer. It is nice cause you have the ablity to hook any exsiting equipment to it(vinyl turntables,amp,recorder). It is very easy to set up. The cd players are also nice they have pitch blend and a cue button and a beats per min counter(only works on non-pirated music lol!) The whole thing is wraped in a very durable case. All my friend are like "jease" when they see it. Works very well with my computer I have a cd writer and has no problem playing them. This set would be right at home in a club dj booth or in your bedroom. The only thing that I will forwarn about you will need headphones and rca cables to hook it up to your stero.
