Great book for Emergency Room nurses.,
This review is from: NURSES POCKET DRUG GUIDE 2009 (Paperback)
This book is great. I can carry it in my pocket all 12 hrs. of my shift. Perfect for looking up medications quick and also helps with charting pt's. medications list for quick look up for spelling. After getting this book many of my co-workers bought one. Looking forward for the 2010 editon at the end of the year.

This will be my 2nd copy of this book. It is an excellent resource considering it actually does FIT IN YOUR POCKET. I can not speak to the Kindle version but, I wore out my first book from use and always found the essential info on what I needed.

I am a CRNA and I too have downloaded this book to kindle. This book may be useful in paper but on Kindle it is useless. The index lists only names, no page numbers and the names are not linked to drug pages so unless you know in advance where the drug is listed in the book you must do a page by page search. When I find the drug, it tells little about contraindications or drug interactions.

I love this little drug book, so small and convenient to use and fits nicely in your pocket. I usually pull it out at least once during my shifts to refresh my brain. I look forward to the new editions they will be coming out with in the upcoming years.

this book is very helpful. Not only it's cheap, it gives all the information you need. What i like the most about this book is that both the generic and trade name are included. I also received it in good condition.

Great Reference,
This review is from: NURSES POCKET DRUG GUIDE 2009 (Paperback)
As a paramedic, I reference this book almost daily. I think it provides just the amount of information I need. There is a comprehensive list of drugs by type which is helpful for patients who forget which blood pressure med they are taking. This fits in my pocket well- I don't go to work without it.

I am a home health nurse therefore this pocket drug guide is perfect. I do not have room to carry a full sized book in my bag not to mention the added weight.
It is easy to read and understand. The look up is so easy! This is fantastic! I reccomend it to any nurse!

Good content but small font!,
This review is from: NURSES POCKET DRUG GUIDE 2009 (Paperback)
I really found this pocket drug guide helpful. I'm a nursing student and I'm constantly looking up drugs that my patients are on. The only problem I have with the format is that the words are SO small! I'm no senior citizen and I can barely see those itty bitty words on the page! I've also found a lot of drugs missing from the pages--but what can I expect! Its a minaturized version! I'd reccomend this for students doing clinical...but don't make it your bible. You'll need another drug book if you want to get to know these drugs and their interactions for real.

The Nurse's Pocket Drug Guide has information on 1000 common drugs. It is very helpful for me as a medical transcriptionist. The only negative I will say is that it is very small print. Other than that, it is exactly what I expected. Most of the drugs I have looked up have been in the book, and it is easy to read and understand.
