I have enjoyed this Bible greatly. The two texts lie side by side which makes translation easy. The Spanish uses the more modern language, i.e. avoids the vosotros tense. In Central America we don't use the vosotros tense, so I enjoy the NIV version instead of the Reina Valera which does use the old form. I am a native English speaker and try to read it in Spanish and then look at the English when I don't understand. It's great for those of us who are not fully bilingual.

Compre para mi esposa. Excellente version con versiones muy apropiadas para ministrar y aprender en ingles y en español. Viene con indice en el margen asi que es facil encontrar los libros. Recomiendo esta biblia si estas empezando o ministrando a personas en ingles o español que apenas comienzan a conocer de el Señor. La pasta y el tamaño son adecuados.

The Bible itself is of course five stars; the problem is that this sounds like a different item, but is identical to Santa Biblia/Holy Bible, NVI/NIV, Nueva Version Internacional/New International Version (Spanish and English Edition) [Hardcover], which costs about $5 less. I ordered some of each, thinking there were additional study materials in the more expensive version--but there is no difference, so go with the other item and get the Word in two languages for less!

I am in the process of learning Spanish and thought this would be a good incentive. It is! but I also understand this is not a great way to learn conversational language.

I very much like the parallel format used, with one column of Spanish and one of English on each page.

There are two issues I have with the actual book:
1) It has index tabs on the edge which I don't like (and never have). They become a crutch and distract many people from learning the order of books in the Bible. (The teacher in me talking.)
2) Most of the pages on my copy were stuck together along the bottom edge, making it necessary to separate them individually - and carefully - to avoid tearing them since it is quality Bible paper. It's almost as if they were moist when pressed and cut, but there's no other evidence of water damage.

All in all, I would still buy it again. I just hope mine was an anomaly in the production run.

I actually bought this for a 2nd time. My aunt came from Puerto Rico and loved it so much I let her keep my 1st one.

Sabemos que "..toda escritura es inspirada por Dios y util para enseñar, para reprender, para corregir y para instruir en la justicia, a fin de que el siervo de Dios esté enteramente capacitado para toda buena obra". Asi se lo declara Pablo a Timoteo (y a nosotros) en su segunda carta, capitulo 3, versos 15-17. Bien, pues con esta Biblia Bilingue por editorial Vida, esto se cumple al 100%, porque ademas de conocer lo que Dios tiene que decirnos mediante su Palabra escrita, tambien nos sirve para efectos tan practicos como lo es el aprender y mejorar el conocimiento en el idioma ingles.
Con esta Biblia se puede leer en espanol y comparar lo leido en ingles o leer en ingles y si no se entiende alguna palabra, pues nada mas cambiamos de columna y lo buscamos en espanol y asi tenemos la idea completa.
En general, excelente producto y la pasta dura le da un plus de durabilidad y resistencia.
Recomiendo grandemente esta version de la Escritura (aunque cualquier version es recomendable).

This Bible in both Spanish and English has been extremely helpful for my Spanish speaking Bible study each week!

Purchased this as a gift for a friend. They say they like the Bible. With that I am thinking that it was a great purchase...it arrived in a timely manner.

Una excelente traduccion de la Biblia, muy facil de entender, un lenguaje sencillo sin dejar de un lado la escencia y la idea original, excelente porque se puede ver simultaneamente las dos traducciones (NVI-NIV).
