"Songs from the Underground -NYC Subway" is a full-length compilation CD featuring high-quality studio recordings of eleven talented, busking musicians from the most diverse underground music scene in the world.

It was Mixed/Mastered by Grammy Winning Engineers Joe Blaney (The Clash; Prince; The Beastie Boys) and Dave McNair (Angelique Kidjo), and contains music ranging from bluegrass to hip-hop to Finnish Acappella.

The album includes a user-friendly subway map which highlights performance locations of each artist, as well as a brief story about the NYC subway music scene and each musician.

Also, a % of sales is being donated to NY Cares, the leading volunteer organization in New York City. --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.

WOW!!!!! What a wonderful production concept and tribute to some very talented musicians. The sound quality is excellent and such a good remembrance of being in the subways of NYC. This is an excellent CD for those who want to take the flavor of NYC back home with them after a visit to the "Big Apple".

These guys have done an amazing job with this album! It's hard to find a compilation CD that flows so perfectly. All the tunes are beautiful and the quality of the music is beyond top notch!

THis is a must have album for all those who are not scared of listening to something new that is not yet mainstream. This is an album for everyone from your young kids to you grandmother.

Just put on the CD and listen to it.....you will fall in love with it. And on top of that not only does it support great musicians, but a poercentage of the proceeds goes to charity.
