I have purchased at least 10 pairs of NYDJ over the past few years. I am 63 and do not like a lower rise, so I am always searching for the classic fit. Some of the styles fit perfectly and have minimal stretch, and some stretch out way too much. Sizes are not consistent, probably due to manufacture in different factories or countries. My recommendation is to try on before buying if possible, and allow for shrinkage when laundered and stretch while wearing. I have altered several pairs to make the thigh area fit better. Turn inside out and try on that way so you can see how much to adjust. Baste while wearing, take off, and then sew a permanent seam. Trim excess and overcast or serge the new seam. My latest pair is miles too big and I am trying to shrink them in the dryer. If that fails, I will adjust by the above method. Amazon allows free returns before you do any alterations so that does help with the fitting issue. Jeans are notorious for driving us crazy trying to find the perfect fit, but when we do, OMG, we love them.

I gained weight and went from an 8 to a 10 so I needed a catch all pair of jeans that doubled as black pants until I could get back into my regular jeans. Well, these fit the fatter me but I felt fat in them. They are definitely higher at the waist and I do not like the placement of the pockets. They stretch A LOT. That could be good but really, it does not look great. Also, it faded a lot after a few months and that is a negative. Overall they are okay but for the price....I would pass.

Great jeans, run a little large so go down 1 size and if you are less than 5'7" and don't wear 3" heels,Not Your Daughter's Jeans Tummy Tuck Women's 5 Pocket Bootcut Jean regular would be to long. They do not shrink and wash beautifully.

These are great jeans. They fit well and are comfortable. I have a very difficult time finding jeans that fit, so I was hesitant to purchase these without trying them on. These were true to size and look great. After a few washings, they still look and feel great.

NYDJ stretch, and fit beautifully. They hold their color, which is crucial. NYDJ pays attention to details (stitching, fit, button, etc.) I have several NYDJs and cannot be more pleased.

As a middle-aged female, you should know we ain't done yet... and these jeans fit very well and help me to look on trend, or as I want to look -- not old! They help out a little in the tummy area, the black jean is very black, I'm 5'7" and they are long enough, even with boot heels on. They do sit higher on waist than Gap or Levi jeans, but this can help. The fabric is softer than you might think for a jean, and they even help the back side area. Try them!

I was not ready to love these as much as I do. I thought I had just ordered mom jeans and would never admit to anyone what brand they were if I decided to keep them.
I now wish I could wear these to work everyday.
The rise is high.... no problem as my post-baby body doesn't need low cut, muffin-top-creating current styles.
The band is soft and stretchy... so whether you're an apple shape or a pear shape, IT WORKS.
It really does make you look slimmer... I got many compliments the first day I wore these!
Already ordered more of this brand! :)

Love these jeans, have purchased several pairs in various styles and never disappointed with the fit and how comfortable they are. I am 5'10.5" and these jeans are the perfect inseam length.

This is not what usually happens with me and jeans. The rear end and legs fit fine but the waist is almost a full size too large. The reason why I was shopping for this brand and style was because another pair I had fit so perfectly. So these are a little disappointing for the price.

Purple label seems to run little larger but still a great pant.
The red label NYDJ jeans have 4% spandex best fit for me but hard to find (+++ made in USA) Purple label has lower spandex but still very comfortable and flattering. Great line of jeans.
