Another NYPD Blue Season filled with great plot lines, and some of the funniest episodes of the entire series. After Eddie Gibson takes command of the 15th Detective Squad, he does the Chief of Personnel a favor by hiring his nephew, Stan Hatcher, which is a total debacle, as Hatcher has no business being a cop, as is soon revealed. The way that whole thing unravels, how it nearly brings Andy Sipowicz to ruin...very interesting.

And Eddie Gibson's African Grey Parrot, named "The Colonel" provides some of the funniest episodes, after someone mysteriously teaches the Colonel to repeat the word, douchebag, over and over, at the most inopportune times. Oh boy! My sides still hurt.

This was a series that went for over 10 years and never got stale or boring. Xlnt writing along with star quality acting. A combination
that very seldom meshes in today's entertainment world. I wish it could come back.

As I have said in my reviews of other seasons of "NYPD Blue," it is my opinion that this is the finest hour-long television program of any kind ever broadcast on commercial television in the United States. Season 11 is no exception.

Season eleven sees the departure of Lt. Rodriguez after the evil Captain Fraker is inexplicably acquitted of his attempted murder. It sees him being replaced by the quintessentially incompetent Eddie Gibson, who Sipowicz previously arranged to get promoted to Sergeant in anticipation of his retirement (and who inexplicably disappears, along with the interesting detective who replaced the luscious pregnant Charlotte Ross/Connie McDowell, the seemingly lesbian Kelly Ronson, played by Jessalyn Gilsig, following season 11).

It also introduces you to the most evil detective in the whole history of NYPD Blue, Detective Stan Hatcher, who uses his unwitting uncle, the Chief of Personnel, to get Sipowicz transferred to the morgue.

You also see the rapid fall of Sipowicz's partner, Detective John Clark Jr. (Mark-Paul Gosselar), whose bipolar but excruciatingly beautiful and outrageously hot girlfriend, Dr. Jennifer Devlin (Chandra West), commits suicide, which on the heels of the suicide of his father becomes the straw that breaks John's camel's back.

This whole series, season one start to season twelve finish, is a real treat. I LOVE it that Amazon Prime offers it all up for free, in genuinely excellent technical quality.

haven't watched since it was on tv real glad we decided to do so. if they were truly acting you just wanted to hate some of the characters and love them at the same time we hated andy and then we loved him two or three days later. all of the stars were great even john the pa (receptionist) when people came to the station, he was very good also. this show you like and the next minute hate some of the things done to get answers from crooks but seemed deceitful. but this show is very entertaining we will watch again again i would suggest this to any adults who love cop show

This was one of the best seasons produced. There was strong improvement in the script writing and the emotions between the players was heartfelt and far superior to what can be found in other cop shows. I especially enjoyed the performance of Austin Majors. He was growing up far too fast for the part he was playing but every time he performed was a treat and a good experience. The plots and crime story were new and refreshing and I personally enjoyed every one.

NYPD Blue was and remains one of the most enjoyable series ever produced. The story-lines and scripts were uniformly unique, and the acting superior. Even now, years after the series concluded, I find myself watching the series again, and specific episodes even more often. The characters were memorable and the plots often more than riveting. I miss NYPD Blue as an on-going series, but thanks to Amazon, what was produced remains available!
