I got this in a glambag and I thought this would be the one product I wouldn't use. I got the "San Paulo" one and it seemed a way too bright pink for me. While waiting in my car I put about two little dabs on my lip and then proceeded to rub it all over to "get rid of" the color. A few minutes later I caught myself in the mirror and my lips were coated perfectly with this actually very pretty pink color. I had honestly used a TINY amount of product and thought I had wiped it off (partially because it wasn't coming off on my hand nor could I feel it AT ALL on my lips). I did all this about eight hours ago and I am already on here ready to buy some more. This is perfect if you want to add color to your lips without having the gooeyness of lipstick/gloss. It is very buildable, and a little dot can give you a nice hint of color, or you can apply it generously and have a BRIGHT lip. Both of which dry to the point of feeling like you're wearing nothing. It lasts a very long time too. It does dry out your lips if you were to wear it alone, so I would put on some chapstick before hand or some gloss on afterward, whatever look you're trying to achieve. It really is a great product, and I barely ever rave about make-up!

I love the really natural, stained lip look and this product is one of the best I've tried so far. I'm an NC40 and if you enjoy a wearable red, check out the San Paulo color. It's divine! Some things to keep in mind:

-be cautious when applying the product. it can easily leave the lip line.
-it's not too drying on me but if it on you, try putting your favorite lip moisturizer on top. maybe even a NYX lip gloss if you want!
-has a scent so if you're not fond of scents in products, be warned.

Overall: amazing, not a ton of selection of colors but if you find the right one, hooray for you!

This lip cream is like nothing else I've ever tried. It goes on smooth and dries with a pretty matte finish. Amsterdam is a beautiful shade of red that complimented my skin well. I loved it so much I ordered Antwerp and it's a gorgeous shade of bright coral pink.
The only drawback to this lip cream is that it can be a little drying and it does take some reapplication throughout the day. For the price, it's hard to beat. I have two colors so far and I'm sure I will be ordering more.

I have really enjoyed owning NYX Matte lip cream in the past but the two med.-light pink tones (Istanbul & Tokyo) I purchased left me unhappy. I own 4 different colors of this product and have found that due to the texture of this lip cream that only certain colors honestly work for the product. The lighter colors all come off looking more pasted on with their high viscosity. Coming off looking very strong and hard in color not leaving an ability for your natural lip color to create the natural blend you expect from a lipstick or Lip pencil. Literally looks like you painted on a white base then glided over a color so the after effect ends up looking very fake on your lips...and sorry in-turn looking cheap. I recommend this product but only in the neutral nude tones, no matter your skin tone. The natural, neutral tones end up looking beautiful. The product itself feels dry yet nicely softened once on and generally last a decent while if I dont end up applying a light layer of gloss over it. All together I really do like this product but I do hope you heed my advice on the lighter tones, I was sadly disappointed by them & the color: Amsterdam.

I love this lip cream. It goes on like a gloss and finishes in a natural looking matte.. Once applied this product dries pretty fast and it stays on forever. It reminds me of a lip stainer because as it dries it stains the lip but better because there is a lot more pigment and it looks very natural. It's not very glossy or hydrating. The color San Paulo is very pretty. I have olive/golden skin tone and it looks really nice against my skin. This color is like a dark pink or rosy wine kind of color. It is very pretty. I love it. I plan on buying this product in several more shades.. Love it!

i liked this product because it has what i want in a lipstick/lip gloss/matte color, it goes on smooth and smells GREAT but it fades away so fast i mean within a matter of minutes . I DO NOT recommend it for a full day or even a night because you would have to keep applying it over and over...NYX DISSAPOINTED ME...

I really like the idea of a lip stain but I have found they dry my lips no matter what I do. I typically wear a lip gloss but wish for darker (less sheer) colors and for it to last longer. Also, I don't like my lips to be super shiny. I have debated for quite a while about these NYX soft matte lip creams. I am so glad I finally got some. I love them. Amsterdam is lovely red shade. It isn't dark, dark red. It's a muted shade of red. I am a pale skinned 35 year old and this shade worked for me.

It has a strong scent to it which may bother some people. It is slightly drying however I top it with a bit of the NYX Mega Shine lip gloss and that seems to be all I need. It keeps my lips from drying out and gives them a touch of shine.

I will be buying more shades.
