Product Description

The Kraken G10 is designed to nally bring high performance, cost-effective cooling to the GPU by incorporating existing all-in-one liquid cooling technology to a majority of video cards. The steel Kraken G10 bracket allows users to mount the NZXT Kraken coolers as well as non-NZXT brand liquid coolers to their GPU with ease. (See compatibility list for compatible coolers) With an included 92mm fan to cool the VRM and the high performance abilities of the Kraken cooler, the Kraken G10 offers over 40% cooling increases over stock coolers. Tests performed using a Kraken X40 and stock GTX-780Compatible Graphics Card NVidia : GTX 780 Ti, 780, 770, 760, Titan, 680, 670, 660Ti, 660, 580, 570, 560Ti, 560, 560SE AMD : R9 290X, 290, 280X, 280, 270X, 270 HD7970, 7950, 7870, 7850, 6970, 6950, 6870, 6850, 6790, 6770, 5870, 5850, 5830 The compatibility list is based on AMD Radeon and NVIDIA's reference board layout, screw spacing and die height only. Please check the height restriction before purchase. Some variation in die thickness and height may cause issues with screws being too short to install on some AMD 290-based cards. Do NOT force the G10 to fit if your card is too thick, contact support for a revised screw set. Some variations in AMD die height may require the use of a shim. Installation was simple.

Was hitting 80 degrees in benchmarks and games, even with fan profile set to full RPM at 75c.

I probably didn't need to use it aside it just felt better, that's all.

Kraken G10 x2 installed on 2x GTX 770 SuperClocked Dual Bios 4GB with Corsair H90 cooler.

I would have gone full watercooling loop to cool my graphics cards but there was no "full block" available for my card. So this was the cheapest and most effective route and did not disappoint.

Installation was as expected, not too hard. I left the metal front-plate/passive heat sink on, but had to modify the plate slightly with the dremel tool to cut back the 4 tabs around the GPU by about 1/8 inch each (this includes part of the aluminum nut, shaving off to just before the threads). This allowed the H90 block to sit with about 1/32" of clearance all around. I also installed copper VRAM-size heatsinks on top of the plate to assist with cooling, directly over the VRM chips.

Performance has been excellent. About a 40% drop of temps as advertised. Was hitting 80 degrees in benchmarks and games, even with fan profile set to full RPM at 75c. Now I hit about 45-50 in the same situation, with absolute max around 60 degrees after a few hours. This is with the H90 with 2 silverstone generic 140 fans running about 50% speed (totally silent). I used the silverstones because the included H90 corsair fans were rattling and extremely noisy. If I up the speed of the fans, I get an additional 5-10c drop but to me I want silent, and temps are cool enough, so I keep them at 50%. This is also with a 50core+300memory overclock on both cards.

All in all, highly recommend this product, it allowed me to finally +OC my graphics cards and keep them dead silent in the process... before, stock (factory OC) resulted in very noisy GPU fans all the time when under load and throttling of the card at 80c which hurt perf with fps spikes at times.

Kept my idle temps for 2 x GTX 680 FTW+ in SLI around 30C and at 10 minutes of heavy sim racing load at just under 59C. I'm using 2 Corsair H55s and a Cool Master HAF X case.

The installation of the bracket and cooler took about 25 minutes for the first one and 20 minutes for the second one. It actually took quite a lot of time to rewire everything and position the radiators and fans in the case (one hour plus).

The results are significantly cooler than the stock cooler, but depending on your radiator placement and case, it could end up heating up the room more. The was the only solution for SLI that I looked at (outside of custom watercooling) that could fit 2 coolers in my case for SLI. The brackets make the card a little unstable against the motherboard, compared to the stock cooler.

All in all, I'm happy with the results. I would suggest getting a cooler with longer hoses than the H55 (which are the cheapest on the market refurbished at $50 each). It would actually be fairly easy to put the GTX680s back in their stock case/cooler to sell them and use this bracket system with another card if necessary.

Replaced the Vapor-X cooling system on my pair of HD7970s(clocked at 1050gpu, 1400 mem) with this and the Nzxt 140mm coolers. Put copper heatsinks on the memory chips (12 required for each card). Ran the heaven benchmark at 2560 x1440 all settings at max. Before the gpus ended the test at 78c. Now 62c. Memory at 65c.

Install was straight forward. Hardest part was taking off the old cooler. Make sure the coolant tubes on your water cooling system are long enough to reach from graphics card to the mount point on the case for your radiator.

Now time to overclock a bit more!

The kraken G10 is a great product with great results, my Evga 560ti 448 classified reached a temperature of 75c to 80c while playing with the factory cooler, then after assemble the Kraken G10 the temperatures didn't pass the 48c while playing. Now the only problem that you'll find is, that the vrm and vram get hot even though the kraken brings a fan for the vrm, so I recommend to buy some mini heatsink and thermal pad to help with the heating problem in those areas.

My personal view and experience with this product is very good so far, it does what it mean for, installing this item but not as easy as claimed but fits good on my ASUS R9 280X

I had Corsair H55 liquid cooler which I was no longer using since I have my CPU cooled by Corsair H100i.

It’s really worth a buy for me and gave a job back to my sacked calmer Corsair H55. Fitting it initially I had few problems and since the provided screw set was not long enough, contacted NZXT if they can provide a revise screw set which they claim on the web site but I never heard back from them :(. I had to make some adjustment to have it fit on the R9 280X, where I reduced the PAD thickness by rubbing it with a file (black rubber like pad stick to the back connector). It looks good now no problem so far.

Not yet tested on temperature and performance analysis due to lack of time.

This product is pretty new in market and think I may be the first person to try this on R9 280X with Corsair cooler. Well this is worth a buy for those who are hard core gamer, those owning high end graphics card for overclocking and for those who have a hobby of building and upgrading PC just for fun like me :).
