NZXT introduces the descendant of the revolutionary Phantom, the Phantom 410. The beautiful and sleek Phantom design set the trend of all white chassis and idealized optimal expansion and cooling. In comparison to its predecessor, the Phantom 410 delivers more value for every dollar spent and possesses an acrylic window that allows gamers to admire the power of their rig. The Phantom 410 features an innovative right mounted HDD rails, a solution for easy hard drive replacement. This mid tower comes equipped with a dual radiator water cooling solution with a clearance of 30mm, an interior pivot 120mm/140mm fan slot, the capability of installing up to 8 fans, and a single 30W fan control. The Phantom comes with up-to-date internal 2x USB 3.0 headers that directly connect to the motherboard. Be the envy of all PC gamers - the Phantom 410 is bringing sexy back.

I have been looking for a nice case since the beginning of last Summer. I looked through a lot of options and kept coming back to the NZXT Phantom, but due to size and price I had to pull myself away. Several months later here I am with the Phantom 410 sitting on my desk. IT is very sleek. It does not feel cheap in any way whatsoever, a lot of sub $100 I see look nice but are either almost entirely plastic or flimsy in some areas or just plain hard on the eyes. For $100, I could not ask for a better case, except for maybe an option for a radiator installed instead of fans for water cooling, but the thing is still frigid with just the 3 fans the case comes with. Everything fits with a non-modular PSU and still plenty of space, does not feel cramped at all. Be warned, it is still VERY big. The only difference between the 410 and its full-size brother is length and width. The 410 stays about the same height capping off at just two feet, is a little wider, but a good amount shorter front to back so it fits on my desk nicely. If it is say, Winter and you have a lower end power supply, it even has a fan control to turn the speeds down when you need to. It also has more hard drive slots than you will ever need.

The verdict: If you are looking for a case and have a decent amount of room, want something that matches your starship, and have frustration-free organization of every component for a hundred bucks, then buy this case.

I have a lot of experience with cases. I run a support company and see just about every case out there. My own systems are custom built for business and gaming and I have built several dozen systems into various cases over the years. My reason for looking at the Phantom 410 after seeing glowing reviews in magazines, is to see how it stacks up against the competition. Anyone looking for a mid-tower case is certainly going to include this one in the search. And it's a great case; more in a moment. The question for me was how does this $100 case stack up against not other cases around the same price, but to my gold standard mid-tower; the Corsair 600T white edition which is just the greatest case for around $170 you can buy. I own two of them.

I am sitting here looking at both of these cases side-by-side; in gleaming white. For the extra cash, is the Corsair worth it??? that's the $64,000 question. Let's take a look...

Looks: both are stunning cases. If you get either one, I highly recommend the white versions. I am hard pressed to say which is better looking, but I lean to the Corsair; it's just a gorgeous case.

Ergonomics: Both cases have all the right jacks, water cooling pass-throughs, extra fan mounts and easy insert/remove drive bays. The top of the Corsair is flat and I can put my Dilbert crew on top. The 410 is angled like a "V" pointing up and you can't put things on top. Not a deal breaker at all. Both have 7 slots in the back and both have easy insert/remove screw covers and high quality tie-down screws. Both have MB cooling cutouts.

We actually have 2 of these cases, one is white with black trim (the lights are blue on the fan) and my husband got the black with orange trim ( the fan lights are white.)

Pros
+ The false back wall with holes so you can hide the wires and help with air flow. Takes a lot longer to run the cables, but is looks so much nicer and keeps the whole case cooler.

+ The fan switch is nice. Having the choice of how fast or slow (how loud or quite,) the fans are is great. Also the fan lights turn off when the switched is pushed to the slowest speed.

+ Middle hard drive bay is removable. so go ahead and by that extra long video card.

+ Fan slots every where. It comes with I think 4 fans. And several of the fan spots, like the top one and the side one can support different size fans. So you might no need to buy new fans, you can steal them off your old computer.

+ USB 3.0 slots in the top (be aware not usable if your motherboard dose not have usb 3.0 contector spot.) other wise it's great, you can hook up 4 things in the front.

+ the Screw-less design is great for allowing quick swap and instillation with out a lot of tools.

Cons
- It quite big, just barely coming under mid size towers category.

- The hdd is not well set up for the new smaller ssd hdd. we had a hard time getting the tiny ssd hdd installed even with the attachment that came with the ssd.

- Some of the hole are quite small. And if you have larger hands you might have problems.

Other
* The clear side is on the left side (if your looking at the front). and that can not be changed. Keep that in mind.

* I did not use the water cooling.

Don't let the pictures mislead you, this case is MASSIVE. Tons of room on the inside. Some of my cables weren't long enough to take full advantage of the cable management system, but I definitely see the appeal. Great case, if I needed another, It'd be this one.
