I ordered this CD on the basis of the single 5-star review that was posted here. I was disappointed. The brothers sing nicely and the material is OK but there is a very annoying, 'hyper', bass player who never stops playing his sixteenth notes (only a slight exageration). It really detracts. The beautiful understated lilt of the best Island music is missing. How would someone Hula to this stuff? I would stick with my Dennis Pavao album of the same title.

These two brothers rarely perform in public. They live on the island of Maui and farm and have a religious life. They do come to California to perform and it is imperative to go. Their CD's-both of them- are just fabulous-full of energy and great playing.
