3.0 out of 5 stars This CD can be played on your PC, November 30, 2010
This review is from: Na Paz (Audio CD)
From memory when I first tried to play this CD, it wouldn't play on my home PC. Then when I tried to play it on my work PC, a dialogue box opened up with a message asking me 'do I want to search the net to find a program to play the CD?'

I later found out that I could also play this disc:-

By clicking on Computer and then double clicking CD drive

As for not being able to copy the CD - some of the songs on this CD made it to my Fernanda Abreu faves compilation.

The only songs that I liked on this CD were:

2. Eu Vou Torcer

7. Padroeira Debochada

8. Vida de Rei

10. Sou Brasileiro

11. Nao Deixe O Samba Morrer

Let's just say this isn't one of my fave Fernanda Abreu CD's, but for the new found Fernanda Abreu fan, check out the MTV Ao Vivo CD, it's a beautiful compilation of Fernanda's back catalogue. :)

3.0 out of 5 stars As slick as, but more interesting that the last one., August 27, 2005

Be aware that this CD comes with copy protection software to keep it from working on your PC. And this from someone who's first album was titled "SLA2 - Be Sample". The SLA theme remains, as Fernanda's pictures in the booklet are an homage to Tanya in front of the SLA cobra. The music is an improvement over the previous album, "Entitade Urbana", where what is distinctive about Fernanda was drowned by the professional sheen of impersonal musicianship. There's quite a mix of songs, with most of them more trip-hoppy than funky. If the Da Lata is your favorite album, you may not find enough to dance to on this one. One track has a rapper that sounds just like Eminem in Portuguese, andother sitar and tabla. The album ends with a couple paens to samba. So, if you like Fernanda and listen to CDs on a deck, this is a fine update. If you listen to music on your PC, move on to a more PC friendly disk.
