First and foremost, I will start off by saying this is the best album I've heard in a while that keep things strictly East Coast. I've been a Papoose fan for years and I must say I waiting for years for this album. I only gave it 4 stars because there is a song that I thought could have been better "What's My Name", but it grew on me after I listened to it for a while. I do not agree with all of the reviews about the album sounding outdated. True hip hop albums that have the potential of being classics are never really outdated, look at "Reasonable Doubt", look at "Ready To Die", and "Illmatic" those are albums that never get old, and they sound better than most of the hip hop albums that come out now that is suppose to be up-to-date in so many words. This Album came out on the same day as Lil Wayne's I Am Not A Human Being II which is new and includes the new school type production, 'Auto Tunes' and all of the garbage gimmicks that entered the hip hop world over the last 4-5 years and this albums blows that out of the water hands down. You can't even compare the concepts nor the material. Also, I will admit Pap does have the ability to put out and even better album in the future but this album is music to my ears and I can't stop listening to it. I am the type of person that don't even listen to the radio or even know about too many of these new artist that come out now talking about Molly's and all that BS. The last few artist albums that I heard and like is Meek Mill, and Kendrick Lamar. Those two young brothers have talent, but most of these other young dudes lack originally and is constantly disrespecting the art form of hip hop, they are simply rapping just to get paid with not much to say. Coming from someone that grew up when hip hop meant something, and to be an MC you had to have something meaningful to say.....

Peace

The lyrical content was up to par but the production could've been better. Some of the songs sound like they were recorded 5-10 years ago.

I have to say that is a classic LP. Some of the beats are a little dated. However Papoose's stories are amazing. This is real hiphop. I have to be honest I am tone deaf. Having stated that I would love to see a well rounded producer partner with Papoose. Example: 9th Wonder, DJ Toomp, Just Blaze.

thanks Papoose for Knowledge. I became a fan because of Law Lib. I more then likely will always purchase your LP.

Messed up papoose had to wait to drop this album for seven years.Worth the wait it was a good album.Lyrically he still has it production was kind of weak on some songs though. My favorite track on here was 'The Cure'.S*** is ground breaking. You do not hear rappers who talk about issues such as cancer and aids on a track real life issues, nothing fantasy about this track. It is a track that all of us can relate to.The album has that grimy eastcoat feel too it.But the production brings some songs down.Good album by papoose.Must have if you like that old school grimy eastcoast sound with ruff lyrics.Lyrics are notch on this album. If you looking for hot beats look else where.

I first became a Pap fan when i heard the first alphabetical slaughter around 2005. i've heard 15-20 of his mixtapes. I think he's one of the best. I've been waiting for Nacirema for a solid 6 years. I bought it tonight and gave it a couple of spins already. I think this album is fire. Out of all the tracks, I'm only skipping 2 tracks - the one with Remy Ma (in my opinion he's never been good making commercial type tracks) and the other track "Where I come from". And i can listen to "Where I come from". it's just the beat is questionable. For everything else, the lyrics and beats are fire. There is a good amount of storytelling on here. The track Cure is deep. A lot of hard core tracks. In Pimpin Won't Die the concept is crazy because he kind of does the extension of Brenda's Got a Baby. Another Law Library, Alphabetical Slaughter part 2.

I can and will listen to this album over and over. It's good to finally get this album. And I hope he continues to put out bangers. Thanks Pap. This is highly recommended. I don't think the 30 second samples on Amazon do this enough justice. In my opinion, I'm giving this 4.5 mics (if the source was still credible). But yeah, for Amazon, 4.5 stars.

This album is a 5. It's probably not a classic, but I will say this is the best hip hop/rap cd since the Last Kiss. Fist I was back and fourth whether I would rate this a 5 or 4. But there is about 9 good tracks, and the others are pretty good also. Put together very well, also consider this was an independent album, so no big label behind him. The punch lines are good, the cd just flows well 1-17. Very real. This type of rap should be played on 97.1 all day, not the garbage they play. The only thing I though was missing, was 1 0r 2 more tracks that remind you of old papoose from 2004 and on. I hope his best years aren't behind him. And I hope he can be successful. This album deserves to be bought and heard. Hopefully he can put out another album in the next year or so, because this one was enjoyable
