5.0 out of 5 stars NADA YOGA: Specially crafted Ragas facilitate sound currents, April 11, 2000

This review is from: Nada Yoga (Audio CD)
Nada Yoga is the science of sound, a powerful and sophisticated tradition that embraces both linguistic as well as non-linguistic sound. To experience an earlier form of sound yoga, check out SHABDA YOGA, the first of my YOGA OF SOUND series that will follow this album. I recorded Nada Yoga at beautiful Mesa Recording in Sebastopol and used the exact times of the evening to record the ragas on the album. Designed to facilitate inner movements from Twilight to Midnight, the track notes suggest mystical practices that you can use along with the music to get the max out of this project. I hope you enjoy this album. It is one of my favourites and has a real soothing quality to it.

This is a fantastic album and a must buy for all music lovers. This takes you on a journey of sound through the timeless tradition of yoga. This has an effect on anyone with a ear and a spine.

Kudos to the artist on reproducing the right sounds that have the appropriate effect on the listener. The series "Yoga of Sound" is a well compiled album and should be on the shelves of everyone who practices yoga.

Absolutely great music for the practic of kundalini yoga, or any other branch of yoga. Almost anything by Russill Paul is great accompaniment for the practice of kundalini and other yogas. Russill Paul's music is a goldmine of beauty and catharsis(Yes, I really mean catharsis). Really beautiful, wonderful stuff.
