Good for crash course review -- quick reference for use in the clinic. The graph on the relationship of HR response to O2 consumption on the exercise chapter is wrong/mislabeled/lacking. There are a lot of typographical errors throughout the book -- not necessarily content-changing, but probably reflects the possiblity of the hurriedness with which the book was made. So now, I'm skeptical on using this for my board review.

I have borrowed the book because I was looking for a text related to pediatric cardiology.So I was looking for a short basic good standard book on this topic.The layout seems to be quite spartan;the chapter on arrhtmias is very straightforward
(by the way the ECG section is a good re-cap on the subject..)-as I said am mostly interested in integrating the text in a PALS study schedule perspective,(am not that much interested in the physiological aspects mentioned by the previous reviewers..)
graphics are simple yet not obscure,language is uncomplicated like reading a novel.
Judgement: good introduction to the field,reminds me somehow of Lanagman's embryology (short paragraphs).

This book is well known as one of the pediatric cardiology references, but unfortunatly this copy has inappropriate covering which is upside down and I hope that every copy which will be sent overseas should be chicked for such factory mistakes befor delivery.
