some pro components have a ground lift switch in case of grounding issues within a system. I got noise from one of these crossovers, thought it was the crossover till I plugged it in with a cord that was missing the ground prong from the plug, and there it was... silence. Come to find out I have ground problem in my amp rack and can't let this crossover even come in contact with the rack... it is not the crossover's problem, it is my system's. Anyhow, it's a great crossover, I own two of these and really like them.
