The relationship between Gnosticism and the New Testament has been hotly debated among scholars for many years, particularly the issues of chronological priority and direction of conceptual influence. The present volume does not presuppose a particular answer to either of these issues. It is the hope, however, that this tool will enable others to make significant contributions toward resolving these and related issues.
