5.0 out of 5 stars The best book on Emptiness ever published, September 27, 2006
The depth of insight into Nagarjuna's subtle philosophy concerning the way reality hovers between existence and non-existence is simply astonishing. Ramanan writes with the depth of precision and clarity that is born of a complete and thorough understanding of this most abstruse subject. This work is the most profound analysis of the concept of emptiness I have ever read.

I don't know if there is a better overall treatment of Buddhism. This is not really a treatise on "madhyamika"--rather it is a presentation of the true middle way path of insight.
