this is a wonderful book for anyone who loves Tonala ceramics. Not a collector's guide, but an intimate look at the history, culture, and current lives of the people who create these beautiful, unique works of art. Loaded with photos, most in color, and lively, engaging text. Includes information on well-known artists like Jorge Wilmot, Salvador Vasquez, and the Solis family. So far this is only the second book I've found that appeals to, and helps me as a collector (the first being "Great Masters of Mexican Folk Art"- big, gorgeous, expensive, and out of print) It was really cool to see a good picture of Mr Vasquez, whose work I admire and collect. Highly recommended.
