Book Description

May 1995
A unique biography of Kamehameha's sacred daughter who in legend was descended from the gods. The growing feelings and actions of Hawaiians for their national identity now places the story of Nahienaena in a wider perspective of the Hawaiian quest for sovereignty.

This review is from: Nahi'Ena'Ena: Sacred Daughter of Hawai'i (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a hard story to review because the author didn't have very much informantion on Nahi'Ena'Ena. I suppose it must be hard to put together a story when there just isn't that much information. But it was still fun to read about a Hawaiian princess. To learn about her life and views as much as possible. The difficulty her life must have been as Hawaii life clashed with the outside world and the world of Christinity which Nahi'Ena'Ena would convert to while live in beauty of Hawaii. A good story.
