Track 1 As The End Draws Near by Arcana. Plodding, ambient, industrial(maybe) song. Semi choral vocals, Down-tempo consistent throughout 4:15 long.
Bright Whites by Kishi Bashi. Electronic Experimental opening that rapidly shape shifts into boppy song, acoustic guitar, bland multiple vocals over light weight gimmicks you may love.
Brother & Sisters by Unison. French Witch House duo playing shoegaze, electronica.
Cut Them Where They Bleed by Tiger! Tiger! Struggling female vocal floating on noisy Alt/Indie band bashing away making okay music. Never get away from the feeling band and singer are exhausted but playing to meet a deadline.
Track 5 Mistake by Johnny Bertram, Golden Cycles. Lead male vocal enunciating slow deliberate lyrics dominating strong band keeping busy making pretty good sound when singer lets them. Slow Alt. song.
No. 2 by Rec Center. Vulnerable female vocal over another slow deliberate band punching the music through as singer vocalizes the songwriters intent.
Boyfriend by D E N A. Light weight female dance/rap, very simple lyrics over simple backing track. Really?
Another Free Woman Gets To Walk Away by Blackie & The Rodeo Kings. Canadian folk rock/alternative country band with blues and country influences. (from Wikipedia)
F*** You, I'm Famous by Dead On TV. This track is also on Amazon free mp3 sampler download Wtii Records Spring 2012 Sampler released March 16th. The song is also available as a single mp3 download from Amazon. Reason I'm spending time pimping is I love this song. 70's punk song created in 2012. Manic band play over great punk vocal, best chorus in years.(song title). Under 3 minutes, can't stop playing it.
Track 10 Nobody Knows by Sun Gods In Exile. Best band name, great southern rock song reminds me of ...everyone. Great guitar, band and vocals. Singer has classic southern rock tone and snarl. Nothing fancy very nice.
Drink Beer, Destroy by Trucker Diablo. Another great straight rock song. Neat chorus (party going on) great lyrics, driving band, quality rock vocals and band play. Love it.
Money, Murder Sleep by Lick Lick. Barely tuneful female vocals over messy psychedelic sometimes heavy licks. Not for me.
Last track Demon Begone by L'Âme Immortelle. Gothic & Industrial Metal and Electro-Industrial now moving towards New German Hardness(per Wikipedia). Dance Electronica with nearly metal male vocal over classic female Industrial vocal, throbbing beat usual sound actually pretty cool. Like it.
The first 8 tracks of this sampler were losing me with experimental, slow & dull songs (although production is pretty good) some of you will love them.
Then F*** You, I'm Famous by Dead On TV woke me up and 4 out of the final 5 tracks save the sampler. 4 star review is for tracks 9, 10, 11 & 13. Enjoy.
Many of the bands on this sampler are not visible with a Google search. Now would be a good time for all of you to update your myspace/facebook/web site because NAIL has nothing.

I found a few new bands that I liked on this sampler and there were also a few songs that were just perfect examples of the genre's they represented. A few were almost comically stereo typical but I was really surprised how much I liked/like the sampler as a whole. Kishi Bashi is now getting some airplay (Microsoft Windows 8 commmercial features one of his songs) and I heard him hear first...
