As a boxing fan ever since Mike Tyson flew on the Boxing arena. I have been captivated by the sport itself. That being said I really loved this film for a couple of reasons 1) I like William Foresythe as an actor very much He played Richie in Out for Justice With Steven Segal. I also like Movies that have kids in them because they tend to have redeeeming value of lessons learned and introduce up- and coming Stars often in their first role. Boys Annd Girls give true acting without alot of thinking involved and also they're more honest as they hone their talent.

This was a great movie! Don't get me wrong. If you are looking for a high budget film with award winning actors, this isn't it, however, if you are looking for a good story that will tug at your heart, this one is for you. I like movies that show men in a good light such as mentors, good dads, teachers and other types of role models. A lack of positive, present, and dominate male role models is one thing hurting our society. We have many boys growing up not knowing how to be men because there aren't enough males doing their part. This is an excellent movie that shows how a man can make a difference in the life of a young person and in turn change his own for the better. The man in the movie stated, "That kid saved my life," meaning he provided purpose to my life and gave me a reason to live. Another thing I liked about the movie is how it displays a positive example of a relationship between a man and young person. Its sad we live in a society in which men are not suppose to care about kids and are looked at as strange for doing so unless they are his own or are on a football field or something. My favorite part of the movie is when "The Nail" the big guy confronts that boy's abusive father. The things he said about being a man is true.
