Brownie Mary's Naked is a great record. This is straight up rock with no gimmicks. those in the Pittsburgh/Clkeveland area should see them live. they have a great stage presence as well as perform some interesting covers(such as son of a preacher man)

I own this cd and i think it is really great! There music style is a mix of Frogpond and No Doubt! Naked, Butterfly, Like I do, and Say You Want Me are my favorite tracks. Buy this cd theres nothing like it out there. As you can see from the other reviews they are what I am saying they are. A GREAT Pittsburg band popular or not.

I have listened to this band since 1996 and they have been getting so much better. Kelsey has such a unique voice and her personality and style...well lets just say shes not the stereotypical girl. This CD is a must buy for all Pittsburgh fans and everyone that loves the local Pittsburgh style....Pittsburgh has great music thanks to band like Brownie Mary :)

I saw Brownie Mary play a few years back, and was knocked out by Kelsey's vocals, as well as the band's tight, no-nonsense sound. When I heard the song "Great" on the Pittsburgh X-Files compilation disc, I couldn't wait to run out and get a copy of "Naked". I was not at all disappointed. I listen to this CD every day, and I haven't found a weak spot on it yet. And if you ever have a chance to see this band play live, do yourself a big favor and get there any way you can!

Brownie Mary has brought back a sound I have not heard since may high school days (early 80's). I am reminded of a lot of influences in the sounds of that era. I am eagerly waiting the next release.

The music on Naked is absolutely enchanting. There are very few CDs that can be played from start to finish on repeat and be enjoyed completly, and Naked is one of them. This is one of best discs to come out in years. Naked is a the best of Brownie Mary's three releases, the first two being indies.

Not many artists can release a CD on which every track rocks, but Brownie Mary has done just that. From pulse pounding songs such as "Like I Really Do", "Naked", and "I'll Be the One", to eerie songs like "Butterfly" and "Silver", the band does a great job of capturing your attention and refuses to let go. Brownie Mary's awesome rhythm section and outstanding lead guitar are all brought together with Kelsey's enchanting vocals. With all the talent inherent in Brownie Mary, I can't wait for their next release.

I think the music is acceptable but could be better. I like the vocals and I think Kelsey Friday is very good singer, but I think that that the guitar could be alot better and more creative(not the greatest). I know alot of guitarists that can play better than this guy including myself, but he is adequate I guess. The other musicusicians are somewhat talented also like the drummer and the bassist. They just need someone to write some better songs and guitar parts for them and they could be a really good band. Replace the guitarist and maybe you will see some better results.

I've been a Brownie Mary fan for a year or so now, and this CD delivers big-time. It has all the energy that the band has in their live shows with all their best songs. I hear they're going back in the studio soon, and all I can say is, they're gonna have to work damn hard to top this one.

I first bought this CD after having only heard one song of theirs based on the promise that it showed. Now, I consider it one of the best CD's I own. The lyrics pack a punch and the sound is both explosive and ballady at times. You can listen to it from start to finish and you'll love every song. The members write very well and create a rockin sound. Keep a lookout for this Pittsburgh band!
