I received this DVD yesterday and watched all 4 episodes. The picture quality is outstanding. I didn't notice any distortions in video or audio quality. It was as if I were watching a first-run episode of a new tv show; not one that was over 40 years old!! I ordered the other DVD of this series and I hope that more episodes are released on DVD. This is one of my top 10 favorite shows of all time and I would purchase all 99 episodes if they came out on DVD with the same quality as the one that I just received. A must buy for true Naked City fans.

I had already purchased this excellent DVD before I discovered the joys of shopping with Amazon.But I can heartily agree with what the seeming majority of users (probably over 50 like myself) have stated, which is that this show, which in many ways was groundbreaking TV is one of the most intelligently written,directed, and acted dramas of all-time. I enjoyed watching it when I was vary young, and I especially enjoy watching it now and savoring the quality of television that is, with a few notable exceptions, sorely lacking in today's TV. I think that television heaven is to own the Entire box sets of this drama, as well as the similarly excellent Law & Order franchise.TV cannot get any better than this!!!!!!!

Forget about the great NYC street scenes (primarily in the Bronx), forget about the "investigation," and you still have some of the best acting done on TV...or anywhere else! This was the Golden Era of TV programing, WAY before the days when explosions and sex and sexual innuendo ruled screen writing.

"Robert S. Duval" plays one of his earliest roles to the hilt in one of the episodes, and that alone is worth watching.

Looking forward to purchasing the other episodes of "Naked City" ASAP!

Of the four DVD's available (at the time I am writing this), "Button in the Haystack" is the best collection of the lot. It contains four excellent episodes, although I agree with a previous reviewer that "A Hole in the City" alone is worth buying the DVD for. The other three are top rate episodes, with "Vengeance..." a close second on this DVD. The audio and video quality is excellent; crisp and clear. The price is right as well. Image has been pricing these discs reasonably and I will continue to collect them as long as that continues to be the case. If you are a fan of the Naked City or if you were lucky enough to have watched this show the first time around and want to enjoy it again... I highly recommend this DVD as a starting point.
