It was such an improvement,

Some of the books before this one seemed to be dragging on and on, but this book picked right up. Especially with the opening lines. It was very coincidental that I was writing an essay on Camus' and his existentialist perspective. I really liked how Gaia was enjoying herself with Paul, although all the miscommunication between Sam and Gaia was getting irritating. I love Ed, and it is so great that he is walking more and more. Heather shows her true colors and how she was the real cause of all of Ed's problems. I am so glad that was revealed. I can't wait until the next book.

Revelations,
By Kristin (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Naked (Fearless #16) (Mass Market Paperback)
This one in the series deals with issues of Honesty, aceptance and the importance of home as a state of mind. We find out the story of Ed's accident as well as seeing the one thing we waited the whole series for fall apart (Sam & Gaia). We also see the ramifacations of Josh on Sams mental state. I would have to say my favourite part of the novel is the Mosses inviting Gaia into there home, as they both need it, and well want it, wether they know it or not!!!

I can not believe that this series is coming to an end, francine pascal has done it again! What books do i read now? This book was amazing and soo sad. Is it me....or am i the only one who noticed that Heather has the internet when she is supposively to be poor! The plot of the book is that Ed is longing for Gaia( you can tell!) and Heather being a butch as always. If you hate Heather at the end of the book, you'll hate her even more. I really liked Sam at the beginning of the Fearless series, now he is just plain annoying, i hope that Gaia gives up on Sam and goes with Ed. Ed is the best, he was always there for Gaia. But i don't think Gaia should stay at the Mosses reason's being Paul looks kinda attracted to her. I can't wait for the next book!! E-mail me if you wanna chat about fearless!!

Great!,
This review is from: Naked (Fearless #16) (Mass Market Paperback)
Gaia is suddenly feeling very uncomfortable around Ed now that he has somewhat regained the use of his legs and is in crutches.(Let me say I am very happy by this cause I have always been the Gaia and Ed get together fan!)The part of this book that focuses on Sam though is very heartbreaking and also boring. As I already knew before Sam is falling more and more into Loki's organization and can't stand up to Josh. His and Gaia relationship has fallen apart. Lets just say their relationship broke up because the self-centered Sam can't stand Paul Moss(Mary's brother)who Gaia is hanging out with now since she moved in with the Mosses. I was also very pleased because we finally know the circumstances of Ed's accident. With Ed's addmision also comes out Hearther's secret about the accident. Unfortunately Ed doesn't know but when he did find out there will be a big surprise! The secret totally changed my opinion of Heather from not liking her to HATING HER! Since I have already read the next book I will give you an update. Be ready for a surprise that will totally turn this series upside down and the viewpoint of the series will totally change!

Fearless is a favorite series of mine but 16 just didn't compare with the first 15.... It's a good thing 17 comes out soon or I'd go crazy waiting for something to happen! Explaining Ed's thing was good and all... but let's get the Sam thing finished hopefully in a good way not bad!!

Could Gaia's life get any worse?,
By Nancy E. "Nancy" (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Naked (Fearless #16) (Mass Market Paperback)
When we left off in the last book (Tears) Gaia's father had run off to do goverment work, she had broke up with Sam, and Ed was finally walking again. And now things in Gaia's life have changed from wonderful to horrible so fast that she dosen't know how to react. She spends her days, alone, sleepless, and depressed. But when she's given a new chance for a semi-peaceful life, how will she react? And how long will it last. Meanwhile Ed finds that life without his wheelchair is filled with it's own tragedies and Sam's life has gone from bad to worse.I found this book to be very entertaining and an interesting addition to the series though it wasn't up to normal standards. I was happy to finally see how Ed got stuck in his wheelchair. I can't wait till the next one Flee. It looks even more intersting than the last. You can tell that the series is coming closer to an end. Enjoy!

. . . the end of TEARS. Speaking of TEARS, Amazon is showing the cover for TEARS for NAKED . . . TEARS is the one where "Gaia" is wearing the patch pants and the rainbow socks and NAKED is the one where she is wearing the leather jacket with the flame dress. Anyway. There is no way I could give any of these books less than 4 stars. This was good. My favorite people in this one are Heather & Ed. Sam basically has no life anymore, so it's really depressing to read about him. I want to reach into the book & have him run away from Josh . . . I HATE JOSH .. . . I wish Gaia could just kill him. I'm glad Gaia is living with Mary Moss's family, but I hope she & Paul DON'T hook-up. I like them as friends. Who do I want to hook-up with Gaia then? ED of course! Ed is so adorable. Maybe he can learn marital arts now that he has use of his legs back and go on crime watches with Gaia. And then they can make out after. Haha! You will hate Heather the most you have ever hated her in this book. And all of her stuck-up friends.CAN'T WAIT FOR FLEE!

I don't see Pascal's talent diminishing at all,

This book was great. For those of you who don't think it's up to her "usual standard", you try writing like that. She keeps you on the edge of your seat, and even though I had my doubts about this one at first, she's managed to make each book a "gasper", as they say. Kudos to Ms. Pascal- and I'll keep an eye open for 'Flee' to make sure it doesn't "pass me by"!

Another Fabulous Addition to the 'Fearless' Series,
By

Gaia, the super-human girl without the fear gene has some big problems coming her way. The first being that she can barely speak to her best friend, Ed, now that he's finally out of his wheelchair, and hobbling around on crutches. Second, Sam has fallen deeply into Loki's organization, as he can't find the strength to refuse Josh's requests for various errands. Three, Sam and Gaia's relationship is quickly losing fuel, and heading down the tube, as Sam spirals out of control, and begins trying to control Gaia's moves and whereabouts, while at the same time, won't inform her about his own whereabouts. Not to mention that he's angry about Gaia's evolving relationship with Paul Moss - the brother of the now-deceased, Mary Moss - and the fact that she has moved in with the Moss family until she can get over the heartbreak of her father's sudden departure. And, last, but not least, we finally discover how Ed became paralyzed, and the part that Heather played in his accident.
I have been an on-again, off-again reader of the FEARLESS series, but always manage to come back to find out what's going on with Gaia and her crew. However, for some reason, FEARLESS: NAKED might just be one of my favorite books in the series, as Gaia finally shows another side of herself, and we finally learn about Ed's accident - which is something that hardcore FEARLESS readers have been dying to find out about since the first book. Francine Pascal has one again done a fabulous job with her latest FEARLESS installment. I'm now dying to find out what happens in FEARLESS: FLEE. I am really starting to hate Sam in this book.He is obsessive of Gaia, and just cant let go of her, whereabouts Gaias ready to forget what a big mistake he was.But you have to feel sorry for him now that he is so tied in with Josh and how his life is ruined. We find out how Ed got to be in his wheelchair, and WHOA is it good!By the end you just hate Heather and cant believe the how petty and bratty Heather is! Gaia moves in with the Moss's and finally feels like she has a proper home. |
