Before writing this review, I browsed to see what other readers thought of this book- I agreed with most and was happy to see that others have gotten out of it what I have. But Richard Bexborn, poor unfortunate soul knows nothing about what he is reviewing; apparently he hasn't read many books on the subject or he would have known that no other book in print matches the techniques, spiritual ethic, or experiences of the author. I have been astral projecting for 20 years and wish this book had been in print when I began; it would have spared me many dead ends. Ms. Druhan has written a deeply informative and beautiful book that contrary to its back cover, ascends all New Age hype and nonsense other authors have attempted to make an intelligent seeker-reader swallow. Bravo, Marlene Marie Druhan for Naked Soul, an antidote for all those "other" books out there that make us think that "daydreaming" is astral projecting or make us fall asleep. Thanks for the poetry, too. Your book stands by itself and speaks for itself. I will spread the word!

I have been searching for a good book on spirit loves, and this book turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. The details she gives of the planes she has explored is beautiful and encouraging. She manages to weave her own personal experiences expertly into the book, and goes beyond the cut-and-dry writing found in many other projection books. I love the way her techniques focus more within than without. I have been trying to conscious project for a couple of weeks now. I used the Heart Center method given in her book the day I got the book, and managed to get into a state that induced one of my first conscious astral projections. And even though I was only out for a few moments, it was worth all the effort I've put in it! I definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more on astral projection or spirit lovers.

Why can't I find more on this book or this author? This book was the only book that spoke to my heart both as a reader and a spiritual seeker. I've read the most popular books on the subject and found them disappointing (didn't work for me) or b-o-r-i-n-g. Not this one. I can proudly say that I have had two successful out-of-body journeys since using the author's techniques. Fantastic read. Can't wait for her next one!

I read and then bought the book out of respect for the author. I really enjoyed it. It's specific, and full of insight. Plus she describes some very wonderful adventures. I have yet to Soul Travel. One of the things that bothered me is that even though she writes out of love and care, I became very fearful at some of the things she describes. I can't help but think that if i have to take so much precaution, then there must be some very nasty things out there just waiting for me to leave my body. Particularly of the experience she had when a entity tryed to take posetion of her body. It made a big impression on me. I did not enjoy her lower astral experiences, it scared me shitless. I have thought about suicide in the past as an alternative to coping with life. NEVER AGAIN! In many ways this book is a must read for anyone wanting to Astral travel. Nontheless, I suggest you read atleast two or three more books on the subject. Get some different perspectives. Thank you Marlene for sharing your woderful experiences. I feel your love and care. Druhan is a great writer. She is very emotional in her way of expressing her own experiences on the astral planes. She is no doubt a veteran traveller, and explains thoroughly what the reader can expect and what to watch out for. It is precisely for this reason that I take a step back with only three stars to give her. I am sure that many people, certainly children, might find it comfortable to have someone holding their hand while crossing the street, but I just get a bad taste in my mouth. Hold the reader's hand she does, sometimes so hard that it hurts. She tells you about all these horrible, evil places you must avoid, how you must act when meeting the various denizens, and actually warns you from getting too intimate while in the planes (I thought that this was the purpose of the book)! She rambles on and on about her guardian spirits who watch over her and protects her from all those "evil" forces. Her writing-style, however, is entertaining and her descriptions of the astral environment are very colorful. The techniques for leaving the body are excellent, although they can be found in any book about astral projection (quite a number of repeats, given the amount of such books available). So where does all this leave us? My advice is as follows: If you are looking for a sensual ride full of "new age" love, kindness, and moral whatchamacallits, written in a open-hearted and earnest way, then this book will hold your hand throughout its contents. If you practice the exercises regularly and follow Druhan's advice, you might soon be a successful traveler, however candy-coated your experiences might be. If romance is what you are looking for, you will find it here. If astral lovemaking is your main interest, and you want to "meld" your astral body with other entities, this book will inspire you to it. If you want a more "carnal" sexual intercourse where anything goes, however, this book will be hard to read and Druhan hard to agree with. I say learn to project, through this or any other book, and then find out for yourself. Go where you're not supposed to go and do whatever you like. The matter ultimately isn't between you and Marlene Marie Druhan, but between you and the denizens you might meet on the astral plane of your own magickal universe!

Excellent! What's most amazing is that I know I was meant to read this book. (I'd tell the crazy story, but I've been asked to stick the the book's content.) I love the chapter on preparation and protection--although the possible negative situations can be discouraging. I especially love the outline of planes and subplanes. Marlene's explainations are clear and she has answered MANY questions. I am just beginning the second half on the soul traveler as lover--which was never my interest to begin with, and if I would have paid closer attention to the cover I probably wouldn't have bought the book. But I'm so glad I did! One question to Marlene: is there ever a language barrier? (If I went to France would I understand French?) I say to you all, "Buy this book!" Thanks Marlene!

This I have found to truly be one of the best book written on astral projection. The writer gives full detail and is not vague on any subject. The writer herself is a wonderful person who I have had a chance to meet, because she is a patient to my father, a chiropractor. If u are looking for a book to tell you all you need to know with personal experiance this is definately the best.

I have been very interested in Astral Travel & Projection for a number of years . And I just have to say that this book is one of the best that I have read yet. It has more than just information on how to do so,It has what to be careful of & What to look for when you are ready to do the exercises. I also think that "Marlene Marie Druhan" is a Great Author because by the time you are through reading her work you not only feel close to her , but you want to continue reading more of her work.

This book was astonishing. If you wish to astral travel and find out about the subject, this is the book. This book will never bore you because Miss Druhan avoids cliches and uses detail and metaphors to describe what some astral travelers only feel. Miss Druhan also adds panache to book with her own personal experience. The book is somewhat divided into two parts. The first and larger is devoted on insight and how to achieve astral travel. The latter is about romance and love (even if you don't wish to develop romantic relationship when OBEing, you don't have to read the love part and the first part will tell you about and on how to achieve OBE's).

This book is a classic in its genre- no wonder why it is out of print. In this day & age, I am not suprised that the real thing slips through the mainstream, commercial cracks. After reading a whole bunch of garbage about astral projection & the occult in general, I was dismayed until I found this book. The author's expertise & talent are inspiring, not only regarding astral travel but the world in general. Thanks, Ms. Druhan for a great book that will be part of my life always. I hope to see it back in print!!!
